I had high expectations for The St. Regis Tamuda Bay, but unfortunately my experience did not meet the standards expected from a luxury hotel. One of the most concerning incidents was that a male floor manager entered the private women’s hammam area. This was highly inappropriate and made the experience very uncomfortable, especially considering guests expect complete privacy in such facilities. In our room, one of the curtains fell off the rail. We reported the issue twice, but it was only repaired after our third request. For a hotel of this caliber, maintenance issues should be addressed much more promptly. Service was also inconsistent. Something as simple as getting ice cubes with a glass of water seemed surprisingly difficult, and almost every time we ordered food, part of the order was missing or incorrect. What disappointed me the most was the way our complaints were handled. After raising these issues, we received no follow-up, no explanation, and not even a simple apology. At a St. Regis, I would expect management to take guest feedback seriously, communicate with guests, and proactively resolve problems. The property itself is beautiful and has great potential, but the service, attention to detail, and guest care fall well below the level expected from a five-star luxury brand. I sincerely hope management addresses these issues, as the hotel deserves to live up to the St. Regis name.
