Loft me - Entre art deco et loft à l'americaine

Easily the nicest flat of our France road trip. As beautiful as the photos and you'll never tire of the views from all the tall windows. You can see the cathedral and perfectly located to walk to everything -- restaurants, shops, patisseries, and grocery. Elegant flat with wonderful furnishings. Large, comfortable bed with high quality bedding. Gorgeous, spacious kitchen and has everything except coffee cups — lots of espresso cups! We arrived for the 5pm check in and retrieved keys from the nearby lockbox. The flat is up one set of beautiful stairs and incredibly spacious. As it wasn't super warm when we visited, the lack of A/C wasn't a big deal and we enjoyed the floor fan. We had a lovely four nights and it’s an amazing location. Some tips: Bring toiletries (bath gel, shampoo, etc) as none are provided. Also no paper towels and virtually no hand soap. The flat is overlooks shopping and a pedestrian zone, including a coffee shop downstairs. The windows block the noise well but if you need them open there's various people or activity on any given hour or day -- including the large market setting up early twice a week. Look at our parking fiasco below and maybe save $130 EURO.

Suggestions for improvement… The toilet door creaks so loudly the neighbors probably hear. Only had one tiny hand towel in the bathroom for 4 nights. I messaged inquiring about lubricant for the squeaky door or extra hand towels and have still never received a reply. While we received brief notes about various PARKING LOTS, this info needs to be much more thorough. We parked in the nearest lot (in front of the Monoprix) and the rate was reasonable. We would have GREATLY appreciated advanced warning that the Wed and Sat morning market takes over this entire lot. One tiny sign in the far corner of the lot says ‘Marche’ but no days, dates, or info. The sign is not prominently posted where you enter the lot or park your car. BEWARE and do NOT park there on a Tuesday or Friday night before the markets. Our RENTAL CAR WAS TOWED and we lost more than half a day figuring out who to contact, the police station location, their various lunch break hours, paperwork, and an Uber to the tow yard to finally get our car. Hoping this saves others $130 EURO because it was super stressful and consumed a valuable day that meant cancelling plans. All these issues would have been eliminated with better notes and communication.

Un grand volet cassé et fermé, ce qui rend l’appartement assez sombre en plein jour. Manque essoreuse à salades par exemple, 1 ou 2 pastilles lave vaisselle et un peu plus qu’un seul sachet de thé auraient été appréciables !

Logement idéalement situé en plein centre de Périgueux. Très beau loft: confort, équipements, décoration, luminosité. Beaucoup de charme.

Stationnement éloigné qui complique un peu le déchargement de la voiture.

L’emplacement est excellent pour visiter la ville à pied L’appartement a beaucoup de charme

Un petit souci de chauffage mais le propriétaire a été hyper réactif
