About this country house rental
Relax and recharge in our beautiful converted barn - situated near Vinça in the foothills of the Pyrenees. Once my family's holiday home, it's too beautiful not to share.
Enjoy huge living spaces and a large private garden which is the perfect spot for waking up to the birds with a morning coffee, afternoon sunbathing, or chilled evening "Aperos".
The house has stunning hiking routes right on the doorstep. It's also 4km from a beautiful tourist lake, and a 45min drive from the beach.
The space
Exposed stone, wooden beams, wooden floors, terracotta tiles and rustic decor .... Mas Rouby is steeped in character.
Walking in for the first time, you will be struck by the volume. The large, well equipped kitchen shares one half of the room with a huge wooden dining table. The other half of the room has a couple of sofas and a coffee table to retire to after a wonderful meal.
In one corner of the room the stairs lead off to the first floor, in another, you have the entrance to the laundry room whilst directly ahead you will see the entrance to the lounge.
Here, the wood burning stove provides a cozy focal point for the Winter nights whilst the french windows that lead to the terrace link the cooler living space with the sun drenched outdoors in the Summer.
Leading off the lounge you will find a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom ideal for people who find stairs difficult to manage.
Upstairs, you will find three more double bedrooms, a twin bedroom and a bathroom. Each room has its own distinct style and they all lead off the first floor hall way, dominated by a huge arched window at one end.
Outdoors, there are two terraces, one runs the full length of the house and has a large dining table, a barbecue and an outdoor lounge area. The other is smaller and gets the morning sun, ideal for drinking a coffee whilst reading a book.
The large garden is fenced off all the way around and is predominantly lawned and so your family pet will be safe and you will be able to have great fun playing games with your children.

Electricity is charged extra, at cost, from 1st October to 30th April.
