Great location and nice day trips possible by car. Also clean and nicely maintained.

Would be nice to have some extra toilet papers (only one was provided). Also the dishwashing soap was very minimal and no scrub to wash utensils, considering we stayed for 7 nights. But rest all good

We stayed at the apartment for 8 nights a family with two teenage kids. It contains one bedroom, living room a kitchen and a large bathroom including a huge hot tub. Although it is only 46 sqm it was sufficient for our needs and we felt there like at home. The large sofa bed was very comfortable. The apartment was very clean, cozy and looks as a brand new apartment. The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking. We received upon arrival the Hoch Schwarzwald card which we succeeded to utilize well during our stay and to save a lot of money. The property contains a designated parking space in the underground floor. The building contains a laundry room with 3 washing machines and 3 dryers. You need to pay only 3 euros (3 coins of one euro) to operate the washing machine, The dryer is used for free. We enjoyed our stay in Auerhuhn and strongly recommend of reserving this property.

Host responsiveness to text messages prior our arrival. If you need a quick reply the host is more accessible by phone calls.

Neat apartment, well organized with a fully equipped kitchen in a relatively central yet quiet location. Perfectly fine for a family of 4.

It all starts and ends with good communication. The apartment owner sent us detailed instructions prior to our arrival, but it was all in German. I asked if he could send it in English and he said I could translate it myself - so I did. When we arrived at the address it was quite hard to find the building and the apartment itself. Tried to reach the owner on the phone several times but there was no response. Eventually had to ask somebody on the street for help. The parking electrical gate remote-controller was broken. Contacted the owner and he fixed it. WiFi didn't work on the day of arrival. Contacted the owner and it was resolved the day after (the owner didn’t bother to tell me the issue was resolved). Didn’t have hot water for one day, so I notified the owner. He told me to contact the building technician and gave me his number. Personally I would expect the owner to be the point of contact while I’m on vacation and save me the hassle of running after technicians. I asked the owner to let me know when the hot water is back. Again, the owner didn’t bother to update me when the hot water came back. There was an issue with the bedroom electrical curtain (it didn’t open and close), but I just didn’t have the drive to contact the owner about that - you can understand why. The parking slot that belongs to the apartment was occupied by other vehicles several times which made the whole experience even worst. Also, there’s a €150 cash deposit that wasn’t in the property description.
