ReLux Villa

The layout with pool was fabulous for a family holiday. Overall it was well appointed.

The washing machine did not work and the owner initially suggested I was using it incorrectly/on the wrong setting. Once it was established that it was broken, which took more than a day, the owner intimated I had broken it, “no-one else complained it was broken”. The saga went on for two days (with the housekeeper investigating several times, and then a repairman) and when I asked how I could wash my clothes they took little responsibility for this. I asked if the housekeeper would do it for us, given a laundromat was at least a 20 minute drive, which they reluctantly arranged but didn’t pay the cost of €30 for two loads of washing. There was certainly no apology. Also there was no microwave in the kitchen, which would have been very useful for our family.

The villa offers stunning views, and the pool was beautifully clean. They also provided games, balls, and a grill, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Whenever we reached out to the host, she was always helpful and responsive.

One of the showers did not drain properly. The barbecue grill was dirty upon arrival, but it was cleaned promptly after we informed the host. There were also quite a few ants on the terrace.

The villa was lovely. Very clean and had everything you need. There were some lovely restaurants and a supermarket within walking distance and the views from the property were beautiful. The pool was very clean although a bit chilly but great to cool off on a hot day. The bottle of wine and snacks left by the owner were a nice touch. The villa was cleaned once during our stay which we had not expected but was great.

The shower in the main bedroom was great but did cause a bit of a flood when used but soon drained away.
