Palaz 7 - 5 bedroom house

The host gave good communication and answered any questions we had. The location was great for the event at Tottenham Hotspur ground. The house was larger than expected, spacious, welcoming, clean and well equipped for our needs. The fans and garden area were really appreciated during the heatwave.

The parking permit was not available and made it somewhat inconvenient each day finding a space in a permit free road in the neighborhood. There are different levels of flooring going through the ground floor area. There was no sofa but we managed ok with the dining chairs. Future guests might want to know this in advance.

The location was excellent for getting in and around London. Contact with property owner was really good. Seating in back garden was good for my group as it was very hot. Lots of space for everyone in house. Really good restaurants and pubs nearby. Two toilets for use. Fully equipped kitchen. Towels and bedding provided. Free parking on the street.

Advertised as three double rooms, one twin room, one single room, and a sofa bed. When we arrived there were only two double rooms, two single rooms, one twin room and no sofa at all. Both toilets were downstairs, meaning throughout the night everyone in my group had to go up and down stairs. One of the shower rooms was unusable as there was no drain cover, leaving an open hole in the floor. If you used this shower, the toilet would have been covered with water it was a very small wet room. The back garden was overgrown and unkempt. The table was broken down the middle, and the parasol was ripped, broken, and dirty. Bin in kitchen stunk of sick. Single beds were uncomfortable with springs sticking out hurting our backs. Dangerous stairs leading down into one of the bedrooms very easily could fall down them. This was the same in one of the bathrooms. Deposit needed to be paid via bank transfer to personal account. This should be paid through booking.com or to a business account as it leaves you unprotected.

The property is spacious with a really nice garden, which was a highlight. The kitchen is well set up and the large fridge is great, especially for longer stays or groups.

The layout is quite unusual and not very practical. There are lots of steps throughout the property, including steps down into the bathroom and bedroom, and more stairs up to other bedrooms. Both bathrooms are downstairs while one of the bedrooms is on the second floor, which isn’t very convenient. Everyone sleeping upstairs needs to go downstairs to use the toilet. One person upstairs needs to take two steps up to get to the landing to then go down the stairs to then go down two steps into the bathroom, it’s all a bit random honestly! One of the bathrooms is particularly awkward, with a shower inside a very small toilet room. If you use the shower, everything gets wet, including the toilet and toilet paper, which makes it uncomfortable for others to use afterwards. There is no shower curtain on the rail which would solve this slightly. There’s also no proper living or lounge area, just a dining table and outdoor seating, so there isn’t really a comfortable space to relax indoors. On top of that, the beds were quite uncomfortable. One night maximum would be best as 2 nights ended up being very uncomfortable, but they don’t offer one night stays. Overall, it has some good features, but the layout and comfort issues made the stay less enjoyable.
