Apple Hut

This location was booked as a mini moon stay close to Paignton and for a simple yet relaxed getaway. The Apple hut was exactly that. The kitchen has all the necessary amenities and it was lovely to have a kettle to stick on the induction stove to boil. The bed was extremely comfortable and there was a cavity below to store bags/cases The wood stove in the corner helped a lot to keep warm as it got chilly in the evening and one or two logs did the job without any issues. The bathroom although small was good and the shower has good water pressure. Outside of the cabin there was a picnic bench, fire pit and BBQ however due to the inclement weather we were not able to use these but they appeared to be in really good condition. The hot tub though was a huge highlight. Extremely relaxing and warm. This is run to be available 24hrs a day during your stay and it was fantastic to climb into after a fun yet busy day. The hosts for this site were great and quick to respond and when we arrived the cabin was ready to go with the hot tub running. On this occasion I had messaged ahead to request a bottle of champagne could be source for the fridge for our arrival and this was produced at Cost price. Wonderful location close to Paignton and just far enough out to be in the countryside

The only downside we had with this location was the inconsistency of the water temp within the cabins. Although explained the water has to run down from the immersion heater to the cabins this was slightly inconvenient when attempting to wash and there not being hot water and having to wait for a reasonable duration for it to be hot on the second try. Other than that there were no negatives

Great place for a weekend. Lovely view. There’s a BBQ, microwave, hob and a mini oven. You’ve got everything you need to cook. I loved the hot tub.

The outdoors light works with a sensor which meant that when you were in the hot tub there light would go off and come back on when you moved.

Beautiful little shepherds hut with the added bonus of a hot tub, we could soak away and look at the Devon countryside after a day at the beach. The hosts are really lovely and provided fresh laid eggs for breakfast from their own hens, and a bottle each of locally brewed cider. The hut is situated in the perfect location for privacy, but open enough to enjoy the views. We will definitely be going back.

There is nothing to dislike about this place, it is perfect for what it is.
