About this apartment rental
The accommodation
We purchased the historic “Kaffeehaus Auf der Landwehr,” built in 1928, two years ago and have lovingly and extensively renovated it. The apartment is located on the first floor. On this floor, you’ll find the living room with access to the balcony, the kitchen, a bedroom, as well as the bathroom and a separate toilet. In the attic, there are two additional bedrooms and a restroom with a sink. Underfloor heating throughout the apartment ensures cozy warmth in the winter, while the apartment stays relatively cool in the summer. An air-source heat pump combined with a solar PV system provides a modern energy solution in a nearly 100-year-old house—and it works great.
Wi-Fi is available throughout the apartment, and you can wash and dry your laundry in the utility room that comes with the apartment.
The kitchen is equipped with a large induction cooktop, refrigerator, oven, and dishwasher. The large dining table in the kitchen seats 6 people for a cozy meal.
The sofa with a recamier invites you to enjoy a cozy evening watching TV in the living room. From the large armchair, you have a magnificent view of the Teutoburg Forest—specifically, of the Freden. The living room opens onto a balcony measuring just under 25 square meters. Here, too, you can relax wonderfully in the shade of the nearly 100-year-old linden tree.
Guest Access
The apartment is located on the first floor and in the attic. After entering the building through the main front door, an original, old wooden staircase leads you up to the apartment door. Downstairs in the entryway, you’ll also find the laundry room—which belongs to the apartment—equipped with a washer and dryer.
