We had such a wonderful time at the John Wills House! This place is amazing- like stepping back in time but fitted with all necessary / modern amenities to make your stay enjoyable. The “wow’s” and “look at this” were plentiful on our first walk through. Everyone had a room with plenty of towels, linen and even drop cloths for our furry friend. Plenty of kitchen supplies, utensils and awesome outdoor grill. The game room garage was an added treat outfitted with board games, ping-pong, badminton, and cornhole. About a 10 minute drive to Lake George so easy to get into town and walk around and enjoy all the village has to offer. Rekka was so easy to communicate with and clearly takes the time to make sure her guests have everything they need. Her house book is filled with recommendations and suggestions for the area and the cherry on top was the delicious coffee cake that was left for my family. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for a beautiful home in the area.

The property is stunning! The house has everything a large family could possibly need! With two dining rooms, a gourmet kitchen, a lavish family room and a sitting room with a fire place! There are several beautiful bedrooms, gorgeously decorated with perfectly chosen antiques!

This was a fantastic find for the few days we were able to get away to the mountains. Could hardly have been a more welcoming home, put together with lots of attention and love from Rekka and her family. I would not hesitate to stay here again and again!

Stepping into this home is like stepping into the quaint and charming past. Impeccably maintained, lovingly decorated, it is cozy and charming. The host could not have been more helpful. She was always accessible and happy to please. Pretty touches like fresh flowers in the bathroom, games for the kids, as well as complementary sourdough and spreads and chocolates made us feel so welcome. Although it was true to the era, we are pleasantly surprised to see that it has been kept in wonderful condition. It is close by to the main Lake George attractions. The kitchen is stocked with anything you can think of and then some. Even the barn was charming!
