East Haddam Country Loft......

Honestly not what I expected. Upon arrival yard was unmowed and garbage strewn on ground next to entryway of the loft. A Rooster is housed in the back yard and is very loud! When we first walked in we were not even sure we were in the correct place. Structurally the pictures are accurate however cosmetically the loft looked nothing like pictures. Furniture is old and ripped beds were not in the rooms as pictured, no wall mounted tvs, very uncomfortable wooden dining room chairs, litterally nothing looks like the advertising pics. The large bedroom was bee infested, a case so severe i had to call the host who did respond and had an exterminator come in about an hour and a half (in the meantime i got stung 3 times) exterminator closed off the main bedroom which is most of the sleeping space and informed us we could not use this room for 24hours. I called host and told him of exterminators instuctions not to use lg bedroom and all he said was Im sorry. We made the best of a bad situation and camped on livingroom floor. No offer of any type of compensation or refund from the host. As stated by one previous review I found on a different site there were clothing items in many drawers, food in the freezer and refigerator, the counters were sticky, there is no coffee maker , just a french press and no toaster. Our stay was ok but do not base your decision to stay here based on the few pictures available on this site.
