Budafoki Residence

The location is one of the best in the city. It's walking distance from Szabadsád (freedom) bridge, the best one :) It's also a short walk to Gárdonyi tér, which has some of the best cafés (Kelet, Művház, Caphé-this one has AC), two great Vietnamese places, and Moto pizza which is better than a lot of places in Italy. It's very close to the M4 metro which cuts across the entire city, and the 47/49 villamosok (trams), which go to all the key spots. The apartment is clean, the two rooms are huge with high ceilings, a small terrace in one room, and a usable kitchen typical of Hungarian flats. The host is very responsive and I would definitely stay there again.

Four of us stayed for nearly three weeks. It's a great place. If I pick at it, some of my group thought the beds were very stiff, some felt they were ok. The kitchen could use an electric kettle. It has a stove-top one, but it's a bit loud and slow. An electric kettle would be a cheap but helpful addition. Otherwise, it's good to go. It has the basic pots/pans/utensils needed to cook. We made plenty of meals. Because the 2 rooms look identical, the photos can make it hard to understand, but there really are 2 bedrooms, each with a queen/king size bed and a 4 seat dining table in the room. Each room has a TV and AC. There is no living room/common room. The flow is: entry > small kitchen on left/WC(urinal) on right > full bath on left > fridge along hallway but not in the way > entries to the bedrooms.

The property is good, clean and rooms are spacious. Close to downtown by tram, and also closer to Danube.

May be less kitchen equipment and electric kettle. Shops around the area are mainly closed on weekends. Pillow can be better.
