A real treasure of a find in Obergurl

Ideal base for mountain hikes - just mind the off-season lull

Pension Wendlhof sits perfectly at the quiet end of Obergurgl, with trails right on the doorstep—great for anyone eager to head straight into the Alps. Our room was spacious, spotless, and felt cozy, and we appreciated the free parking for the motorbike. Breakfast set us up well for the day, and the staff were consistently welcoming and helpful.

Be aware that Obergurgl is almost empty in the off-season (we visited mid-June). Only one hotel restaurant was open, so dinner required a bit of luck. Also, some cut-up old furniture was stacked in front of our terrace doors, which detracted from an otherwise neat setting. Overall, though, it’s a charming mountain pension and a solid choice.

We all had a excellent time, and were sorry to leave.

Location great, mostly very modern uplift, piste preparation excellent. little or no queues. Efficient ski hire and lift pass. Good value restaurants. Free bus service. 007 and motorbike museum are a thoroughly welcome bonus.

Wee but quiet in the evening but thats ok as its a small mountain village.

Genialer Ort mit einer außergewöhnlichen neuen Saunalandschaft!

Die Gastgeber und das Personal waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Auch die Lage am Ende von Obergurgl, direkt zu Beginn vieler Wanderwege ist toll. Die neue Saunalandschaft und das Frühstücksbuffet stechen besonders heraus!

Spontan gebucht, sehr zufrieden. Große Zimmer, netter Service und super Frühstück!

Wir haben sehr spontan ein Zimmer im Wendlhof gebucht. Obwohl die Reservierung noch nicht bearbeitet wurde, haben wir sofort ein Zimmer bekommen. Dieses war sehr groß und mit allem, was wichtig ist, eingerichtet. Ein Highlight war die Eckbadewanne mit der sehr wohlduftenden gestellten Zitronenseife. Unsere Motorräder konnten wir hinter dem Haus abstellen, so hatten wir aus unserem Zimmer heraus einen Blick auf sie. Etwa 5 Minuten fußläufig war ein Supermarkt. Das Frühstück am nächsten Morgen war spitze! Die Brötchen waren frisch und warm, die Beilagen gut gewählt. Eier wurden frisch nach Wunsch (gekocht, gerührt oder gespiegelt) zubereitet. Ein Kaffeevollautomat mit Cappuchino war auch da. Alles in Allem ein tolles Hotel in guter Lage, ich komme gerne wieder :)

Rogivande och vacker

Läget var fantastiskt, vi fick ett stort rum med balkong på baksidan upp mot berget. På gatan gick korna både morgon och kväll när de skulle in och mjölkas. Helt klart en magisk upplevelse.

Perfect hotel in Gurgl!

Locatie (dichtbij 2 grote skiliften, je kan direct alle kanten op), lekker ontbijt, ruime kamer, heerlijk bed, superschoon, mooie ruime sauna, met stoombad... vriendelijk personeel/eigenaren...aantal goede restaurants in de buurt op korte loopafstand.. auto kun je prima parkeren...ski opbergruimte netjes en verwarmde lockers... mooi uitzicht op de prachtige bergen.... alles gewoon perfect...
