Holiday Home Villa Marina by Interhome

The villa was immaculately presented with everything you need. There is plenty of space around the pool and also plenty of shaded sitting areas, we were blessed with fantastic weather for our weeks stay and spent most of the time by the pool or around the outside dining table. There was plenty of crockery and cutlery and it was lovely that everything matched. There is an Aldi within walking distance which we used most days. We normally got an Uber or bolt back to save carrying the heavy bags. The host was really friendly and the communication was excellent. It was lovely and quiet around the villa both through the day and in the evening. The pool and garden were very well maintained with garden sprinklers going off each morning. The pool was plenty warm enough without being heated and the sun loungers were comfortable. There are 2 fridges and 2 freezers in the kitchen which makes life a lot easier. We used one for drinks and one for food. A taxi to estapona is around €24 for four people each way and takes around 25mins. A taxi to Gibraltar is around €49 for 4 people each way and takes about an hour. We found that bolts were cheaper than Ubers but there wasn’t much in it. There is a bus stop on the main road with regular buses to either Estepona or Marbella.

There wasn’t a lot around the villa but it wasn’t an issue for us as we all liked relaxing by the pool. The beach was a disappointment but there are plenty of lovely beaches close by.

We stayed over christmas and new year, 8 people in this spacious and well equiped house. Made short daily trips to places close to Estepona, s.s. Gibraltar, Ronda, Marbella … etc. In all a very enjoyable stay.

Can´t really complain, maybe about the weather, more sun would have been welcome, then we would have made more use of the rental home’s large outdoor area and pool.
