The cottage was a wonderful experience. Everything was provided and well maintained. The local shops and restaurants weren't far from the cottage and exceptional selection in food options.
Nothing bad to say about the place. It was everything we expected.

A charming building updated inside and out but maintains the historic qualities. Th Cedarwood suite in the Main house is on the second floor. The bed was very comfortable. 2 stairs leads you to sitting room with the Roku TV, another bed and two chairs. Perfect for sipping your coffee and to get lost in one of their many magazines. The bathroom was completely updated. The shower was amazing, roomy and a huge shower head. Downstairs the lobby and coffee room were decorated for the holidays. Felt like walking into a Hallmark movie but not over done with the decorations. Conveniently located less than 15 minutes from JMU. The small pond next door and the walking bridge made for great fall photos. The Keurig on the 1st floor in the coffee/sitting room was well stocked with many flavors and used with custom mugs made for the inn,
The thermostat for our suite was a shared thermostat located in the 2nd floor hallway that served 2 suites and an apartment. Our bedroom was cold even set at 70. We were afraid to raise the temperature too much to cause a thermostat war with the neighbors. We used the fireplace in the bedroom which got the room comfortable for us. in the sitting room we used the space heaters while sitting in that room. There is a small refrigerator for use but that was also in the second floor common area.
