Room is nicely designed and spacious - the bathroom is nice too with a big bathtub

It’s literally above a bar that stays open until about midnight and is incredibly loud (with windows shut!). How can you ask people to pay this much when you can’t even sleep. The bed was not comfy and the sheets were rough and cheap. The bar staff /those running the place basically ignored us. I wouldn’t recommend unless you want to party in marseille and don’t mind how loud it is.

It was dirty — dead mosquitos squished on the wall, a dirty user toiled on arrival, black hairs all over the sheets. I messaged the property and never heard back. Had to carry my own bags up the stairs for a €225/night hotel? With no human interaction or host? Zero contact while staying there except one automated message detailing how to get in. Really bizarre experience :(

There was no possibility of communicating with the property managers. I made a request on room/check in time when I booked, never got any response. All responses I did get were pre-fabricated and not related to my questions or concerns. I felt like i was bothering the restaurant owner when I arrived who is not associated with the rooms. I just wanted to know ahead of time if I wasn't able to check in, if there would be a place to put my bags. I reached out by phone, booking.com, instagram and email and had no response.

Our stay at La Relève in Marseille was exceptional. The bedroom was beautifully designed—cosy, clean, and tastefully decorated with a retro flair. The bed was comfortable, and the room was remarkably quiet, ensuring a restful night's sleep despite the vibrant neighborhood below.​ The location is perfect—situated in the lively Endoume district, yet the well-insulated windows kept the room peaceful. The check-in and check-out process was seamless, especially appreciated since we arrived late and departed early.​ We would definitely return to La Relève for another stay.

Where to start. The room itself was stunning, spacious, and clean. Getting access to the property was seamless. The complimentary orange juice, coffee, and croissant at the bar downstairs in the morning was an unexpected delight (we're only sad we didn't get a chance to dine there this time - it looked amazing). It was a short 15min walk from the centre of town, and felt like a really cool area. Yes, there was some noise at night as you're above the bar, but we were expecting it, and it wasn't loud or disruptive, just the gentle hum of people having a good time which was nice.

We got in very late on Friday night because of a delayed flight and couldn't find anywhere still serving food or a supermarket near us, but that was our own fault really!

I left my beauty - case ( very valuable make up inside, very expensive ) in the room that i left yesterday morning and i then drove straight home with no others stops in between ( so impossible that i left it anywhere else ). I realised this morning that i forgot my beauty case and i called straight away the property; they don’t really have a check in area there is something like a bar , where a girl replied to me saying that they would have call me back; this didn’t really happen!!! After three hours i still had to call them over and over. Then finally i guy replied to me saying there was no beauty case in the room; and that him with the wife did the room. And i kept on telling them that my stuff HAS TO BE THERE; there is no other way i could have left it anywhere alse cause i HAVEN’t BEEN anywhere else apart my own home, after the stay there. First of all the wife hung up the phone very rudely and then he called me saying that he never had this problem with other clients and that he didn’t really care for my problem!!! again very rudely.!!!! I think this behaviour is not professional and serious at all. In any other property that I stayed during my trip in France i’m sure they would have send it back!! ( also cause of course i would have pay the entire amount of the expenses for sending it) I really don’t recommend this place at all.
