Great view, amazing hotel beach

Spacious room with a great view from the balcony. Our room had everything we needed. Dhermi can be quite pricey, but the value for money at Hotel Imperial was very good. The best thing about it was the beach - they have a cooperation with a beach club, and the colour of the water is impressive. We've been to 7 different beaches in Albania and this was the best. You have to drive there or take a taxi, but that should be obvious given that the hotel is not next to the beach.

It's difficult to get to the marina/city center; you have to take a taxi (8€ each way in September 2025) or risk your life walking down (no walkway).

Everything was bad, nothing to like, Im sorry...

I did not like ANYTHING about this hotel. I am so sorry but it is what it is. There is nothing 'Imperial' about this hotel.... it really does not deserve that name. I am not even sure why would someone choose that name?

I was very disappointed at this hotel because it was nothing what the photos show. I call it FAKE advertising and very misleading. I was looking for a one night cozy stay as we transitioned from Vlora to Saranda and this hotel really embarrassed me because I had three friends with me who relied on me making the booking and I really let them down :(. The location is not convenient all to the beach. You have to pay Eur10 each way to get to the beach. The facilities have a lot to be desired. It is a basic room with facilities but the comfort is non existent. I advise to remove all the tacky room 'décor' and especially the 'speed' car photograph on top of the bed, soooo tacky.....

We felt like at home, just with a stunning view

The view is absolutely breath-taking, we had a spacious balcony from which you can watch the sunset. The staff is absolutely amazing, we felt like at home. The breakfast comes at an additional cost but it's made with love and the portion is really generous. The fact that they have their own beach can also save you some trouble. We had a great stay.

The room was just a little bit more rustic that you could imagine from the pictures, but spacious and clean. Also bear in mind that nothing in the surroundings is really walkable - you will need a car or taxi to get around.

Nice view and free access to the beach

The hotel is managed by a lovely and very kind family. It is located on the hills of Dhermi and far from the noise. Very beautiful vue from the balcony, free parking and also free access to Imperial Beach (5 min away by car). Nice homemade breakfast.

Price seemed a bit high but in line with Dhermi standards. The position forced us to always take the car but in the end it was worth it.

The host is super nice and friendly, and gave us good tips for restaurants and places to go. The breakfast is delicious and super cheap!

In the apartment we stayed, there were 3 rooms, but air conditioning in only 2 of them. Except for that, everything was great!

A great view from the balcony but far from the beach.

The location is very good if you come by public transport as the bus stops just 3 minutes walking from the hotel. The view from the balcony is very nice, all the way to the Greek isles. It was quiet and peaceful. The blinds were really good. They kept the room dark in the early morning.

The location is not convenient for Old Dhermi or the beaches if you don't have your own transport. The nearest public beach is about a 25 minute walk away down the hill. The private hotel beach is a 45 minute walk or a 10€ taxi ride ( one way ) away. Not much choice for eating near the hotel. The towels were hard. Only beer and Coke was available and after I had ordered a can of Coke and had opened it I realized that it was just Coke Zero. The ceiling light was way too dim and felt kind of depressing. The water pressure of the shower could have been stronger. The balconies have no separation so you are facing your neighbours if they use their balcony at the same time, creating a lack of privacy.

Not a lot!

In fairness, we looked at the photos in the review & we were attracted to the property, we didn’t realise that Dhermi was a place in two halves and we booked Hotel Imperial on the basis of its photographs. It is, in fact, a very dated property in the middle of nowhere. It is a 2k walk down to the beach & the host said heated that we could find bars & restaurants above us but that was not the case. The views were fantastic & if that is all you want-it is the place for you.

Loved our stay and the atmosphere, would definitely recommend!

The staff was so lovely and made us fresh breakfast every morning. The rooms were nice and clean and the area was very calm. The hotel is family owned and they were so welcoming and friendly. Another plus is that they have their own beach beds (included in the hotel price) even though the hotel is not at the beach, this saves you lots of money on the daily and makes it so much easier to just enjoy a beach day.

Not a dislike but the entrance is quite steep you just need to be comfortable driving those roads.

Welcoming atmosphere, good location (if you travel by car) wonderful host

Easy to find because it is along the road you take when you drive down the mountain. Good parking spot. Exceptionally welcoming host. The breakfast is excellent and made by the grandmother so you can feel how this really is a family business. The room is clean and spacious. Beautiful panorama view. Some beds on the local beach (with clear blue water and some nice restaurants ) are included , so I strongly recommend using the opportunity to visit the beach when you are staying here.

Family run hotel away from the noise of the beach.

This is a lovely family run hotel away from the busier area by the beach. The apartment had a great view and was very comfortable. We didn't have transport but managed to walk down to the beach and found a lovely walk called the Mill walk just along the road. The old town is beautiful. The beach areas are changing fast and there is a lot of building work going on. There are a lot of lovely beach areas. It was nice to spend the evening back a the hotel where it was very peaceful. We loved the authentic Albanian food and chatting with the hosts.

If you have no transport and find walking difficult then this might not be the place for you although there are taxi services. Everything else was great.

Superb

Lovely staff! Leo and his family welcomed us very warmly and helped in all situations. The room was a good size and the view from the balcony was amazing. Wifi worked well throughout the area. A wonderful homemade breakfast was served in a beautiful garden. Three nights here was a great end to our Albanian holiday, thank you Leo & family!

Amazing views from the balcony, our host was extremely helpful and allowed us to check in early. when I asked him about the bus timetables he was eager to help and found us the bus route that we needed. the room was also extremely clean when we got there, and the property in general was lovely. he is an absolutely gentleman, he offered us fruit from his trees and we had some great chats with him, it was great to meet him and I would highly recommend staying at hotel imperial!

We spent 5 days at hotel Imperial a small family run hotel, The family went out of their way to make our stay special very kind and thoughtful. Enormous hearty breakfast with homemade organic products.. They also warned us where not to go which I chose to ignore and looking back I wish I had paid a little more attention to His advice, it was spot on!. Rooms are fairly spacious comfortable, clean, modern bathrooms, the view from our room and balcony was spectacular we could see the sunset and sunrise. Imperial over looks the whole of Dhermi. around a 5min drive to the beach.

From the balcony you have a beautiful view on the sea. Staff is incredibly nice and welcoming, the rooms are really large and clean and optional breakfast included bread, honey, jams, eggs... The hotel is situated not too far from the old town of Dhërmi, which is an absolute must if you are around.

When you stay at Hotel Imperial, you have free access to part of the beach at Dhërmi (Imperial Beach). However, by foot you have to walk quite a while and mostly on a dangerous road, not really adapted to pedestrians. Should you go by car, it is only a 10-minute drive, but we did not find any parking free of charge (unless on the road, which did not seem to be the safety option). Hotel Imperial is situated a little bit further from the beach, so if you want to go out for dinner at night, once again you have to pass dangerous roads (without sidewalks or lightning). If you sleep lightly, you might want to close the door to the balcony, since it is quite easy to hear your neighbours talking otherwise.
