B&B Antiche Rime

Unterkunft war sehr gut eingerichtet. Vor den Fenstern waren Moskito-Netze, daher konnten die Fenster auch nachts geöffnet bleiben. Die Besitzerin war sehr hilfsbereit, sehr aufgeschlossen und ist auf alle Fragen eingegangen. Frühstück war hervorragend und vielseitig.

Nous avons adoré notre chambre avec une vue exceptionnelle! L’ameublement et la décoration de la chambre ont été faits avec soin pour respecter l’authenticité. Le lit était très confortable. L’hôte Alba très disponible et toujours disposée pour de belles conversations. Nous avons apprécié l’excellent déjeuner et la possibilité d’utiliser le bain remous.

The B&B is a great place for those who want to get away from the city. There are just a few houses nearby, so it's very calm and peaceful. The house itself and all the interior is absolutely perfect, stylish, warm. The view from our room was spectacular - to the beautiful Toscan hills and vineyards. Breakfast is mostly sweet, everything is fresh and locally produced. Cleaning is done on a daily basis, shower gel and other stuff is also provided. There are two restaurants in 2 min walk - Il Bandito was absolutely unbeatable - 10 out of 10!! The host Alba gave us great recommendations and shared much information about the place.

We understand the complications with installing the AC in such an old and beautiful house, but sleeping even with fan on max speed with open window was too hot. Not even mentioning staying in the room during the day :( Then, there is no kettle or a fridge in the room which is pretty uncomfortable in such a heat (and in general too). Guests are not allowed to use the kitchen (it is locked with a lock!) and if you need to put something into the fridge, you need to ask the host to take your things and she will come up from the ground floor or from wherever, and do it herself. Same with getting them back - you just can't do it by yourself (covid policy related). You are also not allowed to take, for example, croissants from the buffet by yourself - please wait till you will be served. To be clear, we in the end could use a fridge and even prepare a salad (!), but that was a great favor and a rare exception. The house is wonderful, but because of such details you just don't want to stay and spend time there - it feels like limitation of freedom on your holiday, as if you are controlled al the time. Again, we understand and respect the covid precautions, but we are fully vaccined and exaggeration is never good.
