Saint Victor La Grand' Maison

Wow this place is a dream it took our breath away it was so beautiful it didn’t feel real! Our room was huge so much bigger than the pictures and we were pleasantly suprised we had a whole 3 floors to ourselves that stepped out to the beautiful pool! The decor was out of this world! We ate here on the night of our stay and was one of the best meals we have had in France. Breakfast was absolutely delicious with so much choice! Our only regret was that we only had one night here as we were traveling back north but we will for sure book for longer next time to completely switch off from the world and enjoy the beauty of this place and surrounding area.

That we stupidly only booked one night! We didn’t want to leave!

Mark , the chef made us a special meal on the evening we arrived which was light and delicious. We ate on a small table laid with linen and silver cutlery in the courtyard by the pool. Very romantic and a perfect evening after a long drive. The following morning Marie prepared a fabulous breakfast, fit for a king, in the amazing dining hall. So much choice of locally produced food !! A proper chateau in a lovely, if a little rural, part of France. As we left, along the winding drive, we had to stop to watch a deer and a hare who were in no hurry to move. A lovely end to a peaceful albeit short stay!

I can't commend this place enough. We have visited twice and felt relaxed from the moment we arrived. Marie has created an ambiance where every detail is considered. She is a wonderful hostess with a wealth of knowledge about her area. Nothing is too much trouble. As we stayed 2 nights we were able to enjoy a taste of the area too and its charming villages. The pool is lovely and we enjoyed swimming especially as the weather was so warm. Mark cooked us a lovely meal and he too was charming. Thank you so much Marie.
