Guesthouse Rexhepi, Valbonë

I stayed 7 nights in this wonderful guesthouse, not 1 or 2 nights, it's 7 amazing ones and I loved it!!! The host, Alban, was incredibly kind, knowledgeable about the area, and always ready to help. He gave great recommendations for hiking trails and things to do, and even helped me capture a photo of the Milky Way galaxy at night and I love it. The guesthouse was spotless, the beds extremely comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious, served in a peaceful garden setting, then he took me daily to nearby place by the river side to enjoy the sound of the river with a complementary double espresso in that astonishingly atmosphere! The surrounding area is quiet and beautiful, full of trees and mountain views, if you want a holiday far from cities and the noise and want to shutdown completely with nature, this is YOUR CHOICE!, sure you can enjoy hiking as I did as well to de-stress and enjoy even more. I also appreciated Alban's pride in sharing local culture and the hospitality of Albania and especially the kindness of local people in Valbone's Valley and how they accommodate their guests. He is an honest and genuine gentleman that truly makes visitors feel welcome, and I call him Valbone's Ambassador!

Alban the host was extremely polite, happy to share his culture and funny. He played cards with me and other guests and prepared an amazing breakfast in the morning. He also suggested a place where to have dinner, which turned out to be the best meal had in Albania

It was a great stay in a safe and lovely environment, surrounded by amazing scenery. I especially enjoyed the traditional breakfast, and the host was very respectful, welcoming and knowledgeable about the area.

There was nothing in particular that I disliked about my stay. Overall, the experience was very enjoyable and everything met my expectations.
