The bay is one of the best in the area for sailors and surfers. At about 3 km from Gjeller Odde is Lemvig with many stores, small cafes and good restaurants. The beautiful beach promenade from Gjeller Odde to Lemvig invites you to evening walks along the water. In Lemvig harbor you can buy freshly caught fish or join a round trip with the ship M/S Havhesten. In the beautiful and varied nature in and around Lemvig you will find many marked hiking trails. The most popular hiking trail is Planetstien, which is 12 km long and takes you along the beach, where you can see many species of plants and birds.
