The sport angler will find good fishing waters at the pier or can come aboard one of the fishing cutters for a deep sea fishing trip to e.g. the Yellow Reef. Golfers can enjoy an 18-hole and a 9-hole golf course in a beautiful natural setting near Hirtshals. You can also visit the North Sea Museum, which has impressive aquariums and a seal tank that illustrate the animal and plant life in the North Sea. Towards the south, you might like the picturesque fishing village of Lønstrup, where coastal fishing is practiced today as in the past, and boats are pulled onto the beach by means of a capstan.
