Good house and value, great location

The location is very convenient to monasteries

Water pressure is low, the water kettle had mineral buildup. While it is nice to meet the owner, it restricted our check-in and check out times

Meteora stay in Kastraki.

The quiet location, the good beds, the very complete kitchen, the garden, the friendly owner. The house is close to a couple of good restaurants.

A few minor things which we discussed with the owner, but nothing serious.

The location is great! Right at the foot of the stones! The house is large, it is very well equipped, especially in the kitchen. The garden is nice to sit at the table. I liked the windows that you can black out and sleep very well. The host is very friendly and wants to make everything be perfect. I would come back if we travel again to Meteora! There is always parking in front of the house.

The location is excellent, the house is very cozy, fully equipped and the garden is a great bonus. The host is amazing, very good communication and supportive. We will definitely come back.

Comfortable stay

The host is very friendly and helpful. The house has a lot of comfort and space. Kastraki is a nice small village with fine taverna's. From here it is easy to go by car or foot to the monasteries.

Why rent a room when you can have a whole house? Wonderful place you don't want to leave ever again!

Why rent a room when you can have a whole house? This little gem in the middle of Kastraki lies just on the foot of the giant rocks of Meteora, in a little street with some restaurants and some shops. It has a garden wich can be used to sit around, relax, or just watch the cat(s) or the neighbors chicken that come by now and then for a visit. There's a master bedroom with a large double bed, a corridor for shoes and clothes, a big living room/kitchen (there's also a bunk bed for two additional persons), a bath with shower and washing machine. Everything feels like you're actually living there! The host, Sakis, is a nice, american born Greek guy, he awaited me already to give me the keys and showed me everything. Everything is very clean and neat, the large kitchen has everything you need, with a big (of course!) american-style fridge. Everything is taken care of, there are even clips to hang the laundry and so on. As I said, it just feels like living in Kastraki after a while (I stayed there for three nights), a little bakery is just a few meters down the street (and one right across the street) and a supermarket (and even a gas station) are like a 5 minutes walk away. If you don't want to use the car, you can basically walk to nearly all places of interest and monasteries in Meteora by foot directly from the house! The car can be parked right in front of the house, there is always enough space somewhere. Some eating places that I can recommend are just 150 - 300m up the street! I really enjoyed it here and it was super hard to leave!

Nothing I could complain about. But: Bring earplugs - Kastraki, like every other greek village, has some interesting night- and wildlife (that is: cats meowing and dogs barking and howling the whole night in the streets) and there's a very zealous cock next door telling you when it's time to get up the whole late morning! Other than that: Full recommendation here!

Experiencia excelente

Bonita casa, acogedora y limpia, con jardín y espectaculares vistas de las rocas de Meteora. Con menaje completo en la cocina y productos de higiene en el baño incluido secador de pelo. Camas grandes y cómodas. Se puede aparcar el coche en la misma puerta. En el centro de Kastraki con buenos restaurantes cerca. Destaco sobre todo la amabilidad del anfitrión, muy fácil comunicarse con él y ha tenido bonitos detalles de Navidad con nosotros. Muchas gracias Sakis, ha sido un placer alojarnos en tu casa.

Urokliwy domek u stóp Meteorów.Osobna sypialnia z klimatyzacją, salon z aneksem kuchennym. Kuchenka 4 palnikowa i wszystko co potrzebne do przyrządzenia posiłku.Przed budynkiem stół, krzesełka, teren ogrodzony. Parking na ulicy przed domkiem. Bardzo życzliwy gospodarz. Na wprost domku piekarnia, parę metrów dalej tawerna Gardenia, a za kościółkiem mini market. Spędziliśmy tu cudowne 2 dni. Blisko do drogi na Meteory

Fantastische plek in Kastraki.

Het huis is ruim, van alle gemakken voorzien en biedt veel privacy. Er waren veel verbruiksartikelen zoals wasmiddel, koffie etc. De bedden waren zeer goed. Het huis was aangenaam koel van binnen en had horren voor ramen. De lokatie is zeer goed. Sakis was zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam.

Casa singola con giardino ben curato, pulitissima, attrezzata nei minimi dettagli, posizione strategica vicino a ristoranti, forno, minimarket. Più bella a vederla e viverla che nelle foto. Proprietario gentile, super disponibile. Vista bellissima le rocce di meteora.
