Harbour View / 2BR / City Centre

There were so many things to love about this property. Great location, plenty of space, good kitchen, the upstairs lounge and terrace with the views. I'd definitely stay again, though not on the weekend of a music festival.

We struggled to find it initially because the exterior gate was shut and appeared locked. A simple instruction to put your hand over the gate to find the hidden latch would have been very helpful. The bathroom is adequate but lets the propery down, especially the strange small shower cubicle with water that goes from hot to cold to hot to cold all through the showering process. Finally, there was a one-night music festival during our stay, which someone should have warned us about because we would have made different arrangements. The back of the stage was literally outside our window and the event went until 3 am. And then the cleaning and dismantling started. Needless to say we weren't able to sleep. Since the point of staying in a lodging is to sleep, this was a fail. The music was fine, but not all night. All the instructions about keeping our own noise down and respecting the neighbours seemed a bit of a slap in the circumstances.

Excellent central location with nearby free public parking. Well appointed. Fabulous rooftop lounge with views of the harbour. Very relaxing.

Very little. Some street noise at pub closing time on a Thursday night, to be expected in the centre. Not the easiest to find!
