A Home Away from Home

This is my second time staying at Mangal Suites on my solo escape from Canadian winter. The apartment has everything you need to feel at home away from home. It is secure and located off a main street in a quiet neighborhood, about an 8min walk to the beach. You can easily access the main highway and hop on the collectivo into town. Daniel and Kelly are excellent hosts and care for their guests.

Cute studio close to La Punta

The studio is well equipped & has everything you need. Good sized studio. Feels safe..Just few mins walk from the main drag

Definitely take earplugs & an eye mask, there's a main road & children's school just behind the property & the curtains need a couple of extra curtains if you like to sleep in darkness

Mangal Suites is a relaxing and well-connected recharging station for digital nomads!

Daniel was responsive and clear in his instructions on locating the keys. The keys were located in the area he indicated that they would be. Daniel was kind and accommodating throughout my entire stay!

The only concerns I had were with the Wi-Fi cutting out briefly at certain points, and the fact that there were some loud noises (music, conversation) outside my room on the first two nights. These were results of the location and the revelry going on in the neighborhood, and not attributable to the property itself.

Best place in Zicatela

I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful apartment near Zicatela Beach. The space is spotless and extremely well-equipped — especially the kitchen, which had everything I needed to make coffee, smoothies, and full meals with ease. The bed is very comfortable, the furniture is stylish and cozy, and it’s clear that a lot of thought went into every detail. The garden is perfectly maintained and creates a peaceful atmosphere throughout the property. My favorite place was the terrace with its hammock — an ideal spot to enjoy a quiet, relaxing breakfast while listening to the sounds of nature. The location is excellent: just a short walk to the beach and very close to shops, fresh produce stands, bars, and cafés. Daniel and Ketty were outstanding hosts — warm, attentive, and great communicators. I felt truly well cared for. Highly recommended! I would happily stay here again.

Great location - 5 mins from all the mains spots Great room, kitchen, sofa bed - super clean and well equipped , plus also feels a nice space to relax in. We spent the day hungover watching tv Host was really responsive and nice Will definitely stay here again - Anyone who gives it a bad review for the price is mental

Great private and secure place to stay with excellent access to all restaurants and shops on Brisas de Zicatela.

Great location very near the Main Street and beach. Great security and very quiet and private. The host: Daniel was exceptional and gave us great advice and help whilst Hurricane Erick struck, he responded quickly to any issues and was highly professional.

Wonderful house right next to a lot of amazing bars and cafes, huge room with A/C and well organized kitchen, very responsive and helpful owner, he even asked the neighbors to bring me food to the room after I got injured while surfing...thank you!

A Hidden Jungle Sanctuary

Mangal suites was quite an extraordinary place. We chose it because it was close to the airport, and we were only overnighting on our way to Oaxaca. We also had a number of special requests because of my wife's chemical sensitivities to scented cleaning products. The people there were so helpful in making sure everything we needed was done, and that there were no unexpected problems. But the place itself was amazing, and a hub for other activities and events, related to alternative health practices and spirituality.. One didn't need to be part of any of the other activities to feel welcomed and comfortable here, as our schedule didn't correspond the calendar of events, so for us it was just a very quiet and relaxing stay in a beautiful, peaceful, safe compound, with lovely grounds and rooms and a pool, all within less than half hour taxi to the airport. It is in the jungle in a corner of cancun, and walking to a bar or club or fancy restaurant is not possible, but in our case it also was not wanted. They did however make a wonderful vegetarian meal for us that we had pre-arranged, and then had a relaxing evening talking to the chef/manager, and a interesting breakfast with the delightful owner who told us stories about the unique buildings and grounds. We were there in the off season, so things were quiet, so we embraced this unique opportunity to enjoy a place certainly not for everybody, but perfect for us.

What we actually liked, but others may not, is it is a cab ride from the night life, or beaches of cancun. It is not party central, but a peaceful relaxing sanctuary tucked away in a corner of cancun that still is more jungle than city. I'm sure for a longer stay, you could establish a connection with the taxi drivers to get to wherever you wanted, but you can't walk out of the gate whenever you want and access the city or beach life by walking a few blocks or jumping on a bus. It was sooo quiet it was wonderful.

Very comfortable stay! The studio has everything you need and the owners were very flexible and helpful, allowing late check out late and providing tips for onward travel. Recommend.

Only con is the dusty, bumpy side streets leading to the place, but this is in the process of changing.

Gran espacio, gran ubicación, una excelente atención y una excelente estadía

La ubicación era excelente, el espacio el adecuado, estaba súper limpio y tenía todo lo necesario. El precio también fue excelente y el anfitrión estuvo súper al pendiente de nuestra estancia. La zona donde está ubicado es cerca de avenidas principales, a unas cuadras de la playa, cerca de comercios y servicios.

Al llegar hay que tener cuidado con los mosquitos, ya que el primer día me picaron bastante, pero conforme pasan los días y cierras todas las ventanas y los mosquiteros, ya no vuelven a entrar, por lo que recomiendo llevar repelente para la primera noche.

Está muy bien ubicada, cerca de la playa y cerca de la zona de restaurantes. Está muy cómodo y tiene cocina y Refri, facilita más las cosas. Además de que cuentan con sombrillas para la playa que son de gran ayuda. Todo muy limpio, cómodo.
