Best hotel that we’ve been. The room was perfect with the hot tub. The view was unreal. The staff was so kind and friendly. I highly recommend this place to anyone. It’s quiet and very clean. The food was also amazing and it was fresh.

On the plus side, the breakfast was delightful and the staff were attentive. The pool was also very refreshing. Room was clean and the property well cared for. However, here are several ideas to improve the experience. 1. Larger TV in the room. When lying in bed, it was difficult to read any of the text onscreen. Given the screen distance, I would recommend at least a 40 inch screen. You have the wall space to support it. 2. Additional blankets in the room. I called for an additional blanket on the first evening and was advised that only housekeeping could deliver it and only a couple of sheets could be delivered that evening. Empower your staff to solve problems for your clients. 3. A place to hold luggage - not just on the floor. A table or luggage rack would be useful. 4. An expanded menu. The choices are limited if staying for an extended period. 5. Two of the four pillows provided are too soft to be useful. Regards, Rob Donald

Our stay at Akre was perfect. We were looking for a luxury resort that was away from the hustle and bustle of many island cities and Akre delivered on that. The staff was very kind - they set up a WhatsApp chat where you can ask for anything at a moments notice. They set up a same-day rental car for us within an hour. Food and drinks were amazing - the included breakfast is delicious and includes enough food for both a breakfast and lunch. The pool and private beach are stunning. Can't say enough good things about this place and hope to return!

This property is absolutely breath taking. There are not that many rooms so the pool area is never so packed you can’t find a seat. The gym is breathtaking and the service can’t be beat. Would recommend this little slice of heaven to anyone. 5 stars all the way.

We stayed here for 4 nights in July. It is an excellent hotel located about 11 minutes drive from Naxos town. The service is brilliant. Eleni is so helpful - she went above and beyond what was expected! The pool is gorgeous with a full sea view and perfect for cooling down in the afternoon. The beds were very comfortable and the room was quiet, which was important to us. Breakfast was lovely with a great selection and dinner was good too (I recommend trying the prawn pasta which was one of the best dishes we tried in Naxos). Ideally you need to rent a car to get to/from this hotel and for Naxos in general... We had to get taxis everywhere and it was €25 one way for most journeys so this added up quite quickly. The hotel have a private transfer option too which is useful as you can book this in advance. We had a couple of minor issues - for example, the waiting times for the taxis given from the reception staff were inaccurate (we had to wait a lot longer on a few occasions) and housekeeping kept our door unlocked twice, however this did not affect our overall experience. Would still highly recommend!

Our experience was nothing short of breathtaking. From the first look at the gorgeous views to the immaculate but comfortable rooms to the warm and friendly staff, we were in paradise. They took care of our every need. The restaurant was delicious and the presentation beautiful. We loved the unique breakfast board of local favorites. The location felt secluded, though we were close enough to local beaches and towns to have outings. Overall, we would highly recommend our stay at Akre to anyone looking for a comfortable yet upscale option on the gorgeous island of Naxos, especially if you are looking for a private time to truly retreat.

Our favourite stay on Naxos! Went far beyond our expectations! We were greeted warmly by the staff, and throughout our stay were super friendly and helpful. Eleni, the owner, was very accommodating - she went above and beyond for us and made us feel very special! Christos was lovely too! The hotel and property around was stunning. The private beach was so peaceful and the views from the hotel are out of this world. The restaurant, which also serves the breakfast each morning was very good and the service was very attentive. Would love to stay here again!

An amazing experience in every way. The staff was superb. We asked for some accommodations and they were immediately provided. The hotel is a unique property especially the location and the tranquility. The sunrises and sunsets are spectacular. It’s away from the beach bustle, yet close to it as well. After traveling in Athens and Santorini, we needed this lovely spot to recharge. We would readily return here.

The hotel location is in a very remote area. Recommend having a vehicle or will pay $30 euros from ferry port to hotel. Very expensive for small basic room with a Queen bed. No closet or drawers. Room had only 4 small shelves to put your stuff. Suitcases had to be on the floor. The staff was very friendly and hard working. The food was very good.

Very modern hotel on the beach in Naxos. The breakfast was outstanding. It's located in a quiet area somewhat remote from Naxos Town. The staff was excellent and very helpful. Each morning they offered to drive us into town to save us the cab ride.

The property itself is stunning and Romantic with a pool, bar, restaurant, and private beach. The rooms are stylish and have everything you need, including a little coffee bar. Eleni's staff were all lovely and helpful. This property has some of the best views on the island. The daily breakfast was homemade and absolutely fantastic each day. We extended our stay because we were so pleased with Akre.

As someone who very rarely reviews anything online. I find myself struggling to put into words how amazing of an experience my girlfriend and I had at hotel Akre. First and foremost the location is absolutely unreal. Breathtaking views, where durning a majority of the day, the sun obscures other settlements on the closest island. Making it seem like you're in a deserted paradise. The other huge wow factor is the staff. Eleni and Petra were both stand outs. Still, every other person went above and beyond for us. When you check in they add you to a WhatsApp chat. So if you need a wine opener, or have a question, or any issue whatsoever. They respond almost immediately. I found this particularly awesome. It rules out any lost in translation issues a non Greek or English speaking might have. We went into town the last day after checkout and had several hours to kill before our ferry departed. They arranged and delivered our luggage to us at the port so we could explore freely. Anything we asked. They accommodated. The breakfast (included) was delicious and by the time we finished and returned to our room. The room had already been cleaned for the day. The restaurant was fabulous. I normally never eat at hotels when traveling. We had dinner here twice and both times the food was top tier. I could go on and on about every little aspect. But truthfully. I couldn't be more serious. This is hands down one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had.

Where to start? We had such a nice time at this place. The property is beautiful with lovely sea views (you can see neighbouring Paros in the background). Quite romantic and noticeably tranquil, no noise pollution whatsoever. Elani and her staff, from the receptionist to the bar lady, to those serving us breakfast and dinner, were all so friendly and accommodating, it was honestly a joy to interact with them daily. It’s no exaggeration when I say this is one of, if not the best service we’ve ever received. Also have to single out the food, the chef is clearly very talented. Every meal we had was excellent. We’re used to eating at top tier restaurants in major cities and this food easily belongs up there, remarkable. They made our experience special.

My husband and I stayed here for the last part of our two+ week holiday and it was sheer perfection. From being warmly greeted the moment we arrived, the sensational views no matter where you looked, the attention to detail (e.g., the music shifting to match the time of day), modern conveniences and comforts (I'm talking about you Mr. Bidet), to the outrageously delicious food - we didn't want to leave. While we were close to town for shopping and dining, and near world-class trails (i.e., Mt. Zas), leaving Akre was near impossible. As so, we spent most of our days like lizards lapping up all the Grecian sun either at the inviting infinity pool or along the Aegean shores on the private beach (technically, no beach in Greece in private but it sure felt like it) before having sunset cocktails at the pool bar and dinner al fresco at the restaurant on property. We left completely recharged and reenergized, and absolutely cannot wait to go back.

Akre Hotel was a wonderful experience!! Eleni and all the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful in every way. The pool area is very beautiful , the view is spectacular!!! The breakfast is served in the restaurant and it is delicious!!!! They have an amazing pool bar and restaurant in the property. Private beach with walking distance! Old town is amazing, we had dinner at Maro restaurante , excellent food and really big portions!! We will definitely stay here again when back to Naxos!!

Such an amazing property. They just opened a few days before our arrival, so they are still working out the kinks. We come from hospitality so we get it. Beautiful layout of the property with amazing views of the sea. They have a great hidden private beach that you should not miss. All the service staff is amazing, but a special shout out to Petra who runs the bar area. Amazing lemonade and great conversation!!! Everyone else from reception to our favorite breakfast server was great. You can feel the good vibes from everyone. We will be back soon, without a doubt.

The Hotel Akre was an amazing surprise. Since the moment your arrive at the property, they make everything very personal and special. The check in process very easy and charming. The rooms are lovely. The Entire staff are all special. The food is over the top, the location of the hotel is very unique but perfect if you are looking to relax. Their beach is lovely and very private. Big thank you to the entire hotel staff but particular to the GM Eleni.
