Light House View Inn - Galle Fort

This lovely colonial accommodation is set in the old quarter known as the Galle Fort area which is the best part of town to stay in... Our host was lovely and it was a beautiful place to stay that was roomy, clean, historic and with very comfortable beds.. Step outside your door to lovely shopping dining and history where you can wander the streets hunting for beautiful clothes, treasures and jewellery while you dine in one of the cute pubs or cafes. Alternatively you can just sit on your balcony with a view of the light house and fort that you can almost reach out and touch... The surroundings are gorgeous with peacocks roaming the fort walls below your balcony. Oh and don't forget to watch the sunrise and sunset... The forts positioning allows you to watch the rise from the eastern side wall and the set from the western which is quite unique and stunningly beautiful. All in all I couldn't rate this property enough... Our host and facilities exceeded our expectations and it was the best view of the lighthouse...

The location was great, the room was very suitable and the view was beautiful. Mrs Anwar, kindly brought me good coffee each morning to my room and the cost of it was much better value than the local cafés around.
