Japow House 2 on Main Street

I loved Japow House 2! The hosts were so wonderful and friendly - I was allowed to hang around both before and after my check in/check out. It’s about 50m to Akakura Onsen, 20m to the bus stop, and on the main shopping strip. The restaurant attached was recommended by friends to eat and the food was amazing. The bed was super comfortable, the showers and bathrooms are new.

Uncle was amazing!! So friendly and happy everyday it was a joy to see uncle everyday. Food. Drinks. Staff all amazing. Facilities rooms are great and comfortable

We need 2 pillows per bed. Another washer and dryer would be great.

Thé location is excellent and the rooms are spacious by Japanese standards

The walls are a bit thin, if the people in neighbouring rooms are noisy you will hear them easily.

The location of the hotel was great. Very close to the ski field and there is an good rental shop across the road. Myoko is not too sophisticated or over developed so it is still fun and there are plenty of places to go out and eat. The burgers at the hotel are very tasty and filling. The staff at the hotel are really friendly and helpful and their Japanese manager is a very nice man.

Unfortunately the room we were in was across the road from a night club and on our first night everyone on our side of the hotel was kept awake until 5am with bad electronic dance music! The double beds are small and probably a bit tight for two adults. I would recommend getting at twin room with two beds. Breakfast was variable but adequate. There was a good range of food options but the quality of the cooking was a bit hit and miss. The coffee machine was not great and the coffee was generally cold.
