Beach Villa

ロケーションが非常に良く、プライベートビーチまで２０秒と素晴らしい環境。 ミネラルウォーターは部屋に十分用意され、調理器具も十分に揃っている。

部屋のWiFiは繋がらず、インターネットは殆ど使えない。しかし、あそこではそれが良いことだったのかも。 周りに何も無いので、事前に食料を調達しておくべきだった。

This was great studio apartment, perfectly suited for couples visiting the island of Antigua. The place was well equipped and we didn't need anything extra during our stay. Our apartment (condo) in Pillar Rock Condominium was one of the ones closest to Yepton Beach and with lovely views over it (we had a condo upstairs rather than ground floor). In the morning, the sun shines in directly through the windows that overlook the bay. (There is an electric blind to cut out sunlight for anyone wishing to stay asleep longer.) The condo is fully air-conditioned. The windows overlooking the bay can be opened but are covered with anti-mosquito netting. (Due to the constant sea-breeze, mosquitos are rarely a serious problem on Antigua.) Although we brought our beach towels with us, the condo was already equipped with plenty of towels, with the bathroom being fully equipped for every need. The condo has two walled mounted flat screen Samsung TVs (one of which was very modern and setup for stream Netflicks, Youtube, DIsney, etc.). The WiFi was easy to connect to and worked well during our stay there. The condominium has a lovely swimming pool with a shallow end suitable for children. The deep end is very deep in the middle, though only around 5ft deep around the edge, so it would be safe to dive into. The water in the pool was always warm and clean. We had excellent WA communication with the manager of the condominium complex, who also arranged our car hire and a local driving license. There are no shops on site, so car hire is recommended. I'd recommend getting an e-sim for ones phone before visiting so that one can use the SatNav facility within Google Maps for navigating around the island. (It was hard work with a paper map that we had to use before I got a local sim card working correctly in my phone!) A local supermarket (Perry Bay) is a short drive away and there is a local fast food place (Green Apple) in the nearby village of Five Islands.

At home I am used to using a cafetiere (French press) or an expresso maker for making coffee (which was the only food item we brought with us), The condo had a filter coffee machine, but I never saw filters for it. This was not critical since I preferred to make coffee each morning using a saucepan in Turkish style. For me, the bed matress was slightly soft as I am used to a very hard one at home. However, my other half prefers a softer one, so not an issue.

Eine sehr schöne Anlage, etwas abgelegen von der Stadt, für uns genau richtig. Man braucht einen Mietwagen!!! Wir buchten den Mietwagen über den Vermieter, das war perfekt. Das Auto stand bei der Ankunft am Flughafen.
