We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the milking shed. The place is very clean and cosy and well equipped, the bed was very comfy. Plenty of logs were left for the fire. It was everything we had expected.
Personally we would have preferred a table and chairs instead of the table and stools but that wouldn't put us off staying again.

The lodge was exceptionally clean and had everything you need for a great stay. Very tastefully renovated to a very high standard. Great location close to lots of convenient shops, restaurants, petrol stations etc... and the lovely walks nearby. The milking shed was always warm, homely and relaxing and would definitely stay again if in the area.
Nothing to dislike from our point of view.

I loved the style and to get in when the nights got a little chilly and fire up the log burner was fantastic. Great location to be able to go out and explore the area. Nothing seemed too far away.
Nothing to not like

The Milking Shed is beautiful and has been done to a high standard. The little fenced in garden is great for sitting out and means the dog stayed where we could see him. The fire pit outside was perfect on an evening. Communication was brilliant and any questions we had were answered quickly
If you are tall you will struggle with the height of the doors but apart from that it's perfect

Very quirky, very cute.
Nothing we didn’t like about the property.
A minor detail though., just need a little shelf in the bathroom for toothpaste and brush, and hooks on the door to hang clothes. Otherwise, perfect.

An absolutely delightful place to stay. The room itself was gorgeous and our favourite after 2 months of B&Bing around the UK.

Was a lovely place. Host was brilliant, nothing was too much, always there if needed. It was just a lovely 4 nights stay. 10 out of 10. Just what we needed.
Everything was lovely. Host was brilliant, anything we needed the host was there. We were also made up they supplied egg cups as not many places supply egg cups, weird I know, but we love our eggs every morning, just needed a sharp bread knife to cut our bread.

So comfortable and well designed! There were no firelighters for the fire and our host went out and bought us some without issue, I even played frisbee with their dog!
No complaints!

Impressive space, characterful, good location. You can self cater here.
£145 a night with no towels or toiletries is unforgivable, at this price point I expect more. For me the bed was uncomfortable, cheap mattress. The spiral stairs look impressive but were awkward, impossible for anyone who has compromised mobility, and very uncomfortable to use unless you have slippers. Small electric shower not proper one so low water flow and difficult to set. Most of all it was cold, the booklet said there was a heater but we couldn’t see one, there were central heating radiators that didn’t work and an on wall thermostat that said it was 16C and promised 21c but had no impact on the 16c. We did try the log burner and it managed to get the temp to 17.5 but wasn’t efficient. Apparently you can ask for help from the owner however we only had one night in and that was spent sat between 16 and 17.5c.

Immediate attention offered when reporting bad odour throughout the room. The sumptank was emptied as soon as possible.
Very clean.
Comfortable mattress (not bedheadboard).
Personal parking space.
1)The smell of sewerage as we entered-from sumptank.
2)No refreshments available.
3)The wrought iron bannister needs repairing-dangerous as split in two.
4)The bedheadboard is so uncomfortable-needed 3 pillows and then they fell through the back-be better with a closed headboard.
5)Outdoor lights didn't work as returning from night out-pitch black.
6)Could do with shelves in the bathroom-had to have our toiletries bags on the floor.

Beautifully decorated and appliances etc were modern.

The only issue we felt was the bed, as Im 6ft 3 it could have done with being more sturdy and larger! but thats a common issue for me, its not a complaint but just something to be aware of.

Quaint, rustic and well finished.
The log burner is easy to use and there was plenty of wood. Kept it cozy and warm.Owners on hand when needed.
Kitchen well equipped..need a bigger frying pan though 😆
Beautifull little property.
A light in the drive or outside area.
Bigger frying pan.
Some sort of shelving in the bathroom for wash equipment.
Bathroom was cold 😔

The cottage was clean and had everything that we needed. The kitchen has all of the cooking essential and appliances. There is also an iron and hairdryer. The log burner is great for keeping warm and cosy. We loved it at the milking shed 🐮🥰
The bed is quite small and could do with some new bedding.

the property was finished well, lovely interior.
There were no personal touches, no towels, or shower gel no welcome pack, the property doesn’t over look a view as it says it does, it’s very dark and doesn’t have a private garden.
The staff member was incredibly rude, and said because we borrowed a towel that they apparently had to throw away because it had dog hair on it 🤣 that we should leave a review. not sure this is the one they wanted!
there was also some dog hair in the plug hole that was taken a huge offence too and also blamed us for a dog poo out side which wasn’t us.
it was laughable really, because they promote being dog friendly but is far from the case. we cleaned the house but missed some dog hairs in the plug hole and dried our dog with a towel after he had a wash. But they are not considering that part of what you pay is cleaning and if it’s DOG friendly then that cleaning has to consider that.
