Rockwood Karkloof Farm House and Farm Cottage

It is beautifully appointed with magical views! Every need is catered for and you have a true midlands experience yet are 15 min from Howick! The farmhouse is so pretty and the setting over the water is breathtaking! This is truly a gem! Sue was so very kind and welcoming and surprised my Mom with flowers for her birthday which was such an incredibly kind gesture!

The unit was spacious and had great views.

In the main bedroom the only shower is outside which is great when the weather is good but was quite chilly when it was rainy and windy.

Sue and the cleaning ladies were excellent. And fireplace just perfect. Place is suitable for small family.

I absentmindedly booked this facility, thought I was booking main lodge. Minor things can be improved on, needed a bowl to make pancakes, main entrance door larch needs fixing, locking with key only in remote space isn't comforting. Outside shower in main bedroom doesn't work well when it's cold or there's other guest in main lodge. TV needs to be updated to smart TV - would work well with the excellent wifi they have. Bedding had stains - probably wine stains. Info about things to do around the area would also be great, there is hiking trail but zero info provided.
