Good Hostel for a fair price

Very clean, every morning the staff cleaned the whole place. Nice pool and bar area. Lovely staff.

The hostel lies in between la Punta and Zicatella. Without a Scooter it can be hard to get around after dark. The beach close by is ok, but you can't swim in the ocean. The kitchen was always messy (not a fault of the hostel, I barely saw hostel kitchens where you didn't need to go on a scavenger hunt for clean things to use) and too small for all the people. Plus: I'm a bit too old for the spring break vibes. Haha. Conclusion: Strawhat is perfect for younger people looking for partying and chilling at the pool.

A great hostel

This is one of the best hostels we have stayed in! The double dorms are super spacious, comfy beds and pillows. The cleaners come in each day and make the bed and fold any clothes left on the bed. The pool and bar area is great, super social and relaxing. The bar offer good deals and the burgers there are amazing. We extended our stay an extra week, we loved it.

The aircon is only turned on between 9pm-9am, can be hot if you want to go to bed early if sleep in.. wasn’t an issue for us!

Me gustó que esta super cerca de la playa, el ambiente, lo tranquilo que es y la limpieza de las habitaciones en todo momento. Está organizado de manera que nunca se ve desorden, tiene una terraza. El servicio del bar fue mi favorito, tienen muchas promos todos los días y Edson super buena onda :D

Straw Hat war ein super Hostel. Ich war im Female Dorm under es war sehr sauber. Generell konnte man durch das Abendprogramm auch sehr leicht Leute kennenlernen. Ich hatte eine gute Zeit! Besonders Océane, die für die Aktivitäten und Fitness zuständig war, war immer gut gelaunt, sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

Handtücher wären vielleicht noch ein super Add-On, da man die eigenen oft für den Beach nutzt.

Le jardin rempli de plantes magnifiques et la grande piscine.

La cuisine partagée est lamentable... Très petite, très peu d'ustensiles basiques et dans un état déplorable (4 ou 5 assiettes quasiment toutes en plastiques et minuscules, des poêles complètement usées, 2 fourchettes, aucune casserole...). La cuisinière à gaz fonctionnait à moitié... C'est la pire cuisine que j'ai vue dans une auberge de jeunesse, et pourtant j'ai énormément voyagé au Mexique. Donc en plus à ce prix là, c'est honteux !

El desayuno no tiene un horario fijo y es muy tarde 10-12. Dijeron que a las 10 seguro porque el cocinero podía llegar entre las 9-10. El único día que lo queríamos utilizar (lo pagamos por adelantado) el cocinero llegó 10:30 y nosotros no teníamos 30 min para esperarlo

המיקום טוב, כשבאים בקבוצה זה יכול להתאים יותר, יש בריכה שנראית נחמד, לא ניסיתי את ארוחת הבוקר, אך יש מאחורי הפינה את המקום של ויקי שבו בלב פתוח מקבלים ארוח עם חיוך ואוכל ביתי סביר, נדמה לי שבזול. המיטה בחדר המשותף יחסית נוחה.

המקום לא מספק מגבת ולא שמיכה, לא סבון או שמפו במקלחות. זרם מקלחת חלש. אין מים חמים. כיסוי לשינה רק סדין. מזגן בחדר המשותף דולק ללא שלט לשינוי הטמפ' (רק אם יורדים ומבקשים מהקבלה). זה גרם לי להתקררות ולחולי. הבד שאמור לאטום אור במיטות המשותפות לא אטום מספיק. מוזיקה רועשת מהבר עד 23:00. אינטרנט חלש וקטוע, לא יכולתי לקיים פגישת זום חשובה. במרפסת שממנה אפשר היה לקלוט טוב יותר את הוויפיי של המקום השכן, לא היה שקע חשמל למחשב. לא היה כבל מאריך להשאיל. המטבח לא מספיק מאובזר למי שרוצה לבשל. אין קומקום חשמלי לחימום מים (חימום ממושך על הגז בסיר). עיצוב בטון קומוניסטי של החדרים וחלק מהאזורים הנוספים. על המחיר שהיה נקוב יש תוספת מיסים.

INCREÍBLE Y DIVERTIDO

La atención de el Staff es excelente, Sandy-Julio-Óscar-Astrid desde la recepción siempre al pendiente de las necesidades, Yajhab-Moyao-Raúl-Juan preparando las mejores bebidas y alimentos desde la barra y por supuesto Paula la administradora siempre atenta a todo con el equipo de trabajo.

faltaban algunas cosas para comer, porque no estaba todo lo indicado en el menú, pero el staf super amable!! 10/10 la atención de todo el staf

limpiar un poco más las cortinas de las literas, ya que tenían algunas manchas igual de las toallas de baño
