We had an amazing stay! The cottage is beautifully designed, luxurious, cosy and exceptionally well equipped. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered. The location is perfect – just a short walk from the harbour, the seaside promenade and excellent restaurants. It is quiet, peaceful and ideal for a family holiday. We especially loved exploring Anstruther, taking a boat trip to the Isle of May to see puffins, enjoying the famous fish and chips by the sea, and visiting nearby St Andrews. Communication with the host was excellent, parking was easy, and everything was spotlessly clean. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay.

The modern interior, the size and the location were all ideal.

On arrival, we found that the property had not been cleaned to a satisfactory condition. Tables and surfaces, including the kitchen sink, were not clean and were very dusty. It was purported that there had been some maintenance work and dust had settled because there were no occupants prior to our arrival. It was extremely disappointing that we had to do cleaning on our arrival. We have high standards and expect these to be met, especially when paying a premium. Also, the property was very cold and even after increasing the heating, it appeared to be controlled outwith.

Outside light in back garden sis not work. Wasn’t a huge issue.
