Le Charmant F2 rue du Gros Horloge à Rouen!

We were met on time by staff, who gave us the keys. Good size, open planned kitchen/diner/lounge. Lots of storage, including bathroom and bedroom. Full length mirrors. Quirky slightly uneven floor in the apartment, more so for the concrete spiral staircase up to the second floor (flat location). Very secure. Safe inside and out. Great shower (very small shower tray) with removable head. Mixer taps in bathroom. Excellent location above a shop on the cobbled street in the heart of main shopping area, that was adorned with shops and eateries. (Expect street noise). The main square a stones throw away with restaurants etc.. everything is walking distance- train station 10mins, river Sein less than 10mins. Minimarts, pubs restaurants 1minute walk.

The coffee machine didn’t work, we couldn’t get the Tv to work- not that we would have used either. Only one large knife, (alongside side cutlery), I took a small serrated knife, thankfully, as I had seen this in a previous review. Wifi was strong until the day of departure when it threw us out before we left. No bowls, so we had to improvise. No fan/aircon (we took our portable fan that was a godsend in the heatwave). Fridge was temperamental. Four hairs on the bedsheet. Dead pigeon still (on a previous review) outside the bedroom window on the net, just feathers as no smell or flies so didn’t bother us in the slightest.

L’emplacement est au cœur du centre piétonnier animé.

Le bruit dans la chambre d’une climatisation qui s’apparentait à une rame de métro « déclenchée » toutes les 2mn30 et aurait eu la longueur d’un train de marchandises. Cela faisait vibrer la fenêtre et il valait mieux ne pas se réveiller sous peine de ne pas terminer la nuit. Il faudrait supprimer la mention parking car il s’agit du parking souterrain payant et indiquer que ce n’est pas accessible aux personnes qui ont des difficultés de mobilité ou handicapées. L’escalier est impraticable. La conciergerie est effarante de manque de professionnalisme nous n’avons jamais vu une telle désinvolture et absence d’accompagnement dans toutes les très nombreuses locations que nous avons faites. Un boîtier nous aurait évité ces tracas même si c’est discutable sur la forme. C’est dommage
