About this villa rental
Luxury spacious villa on Playa Las Ballenas, one of the best beaches in Las Terrenas, with 4 bedrooms (each with its own bathroom), a large private swimming pool , huge covered terrace, beautiful garden and barbecue, and its own private parking.
A modern stylish villa with a unique design, providing complete privacy and tranquility only 5 minutes walk from the beach, and 5 minute drive from the town.
Perfect for romantic trips, family holidays and groups of friends.
The space
The house is designed so it's all on one level with the swimming pool being the centre for the entire living space. The kitchen / lounge and each bedroom all open directly out to the pool, terrace and garden.
The huge covered terrace with large sofas and big dining table enables outdoor living at all times regardless of the weather. High ceilings in every room give an amazing feel of space and comfort wherever you are in the villa.
The house has 50 Mb fibre optic WIFI and a large Smart TV, as well as high quality appliances throughout the kitchen.
The villa is situated behind two remote controlled gates, providing extra levels of security.
Those staying 3 nights or more will have access to the washing machine and dryer.
Other things to note:
- The consumption of electricity is not included in the rental price ands has to be paid separately . The consumption is based on meter reading upon check in & check out date.
E.g: An average consumption with AC will cost +/-15us$/day. Without AC +/- 5us$/day . A deposit of 20us$/day ( depending on your stay) has to be paid cash upon ‘Check- in Date’. If the TENANT doesn’t consume more than 20us$/day, the TENANT will get a refund in cash for any unconsumed usage of electricity. If the TENANT consumes more, it has to be paid extra.
- This is the DR, were some utilities like internet, electricity and water can experience some disturbances/interruptions. if these disturbances are out of our control, these interruptions are not a case for any refund.
the house has a back up solar powered inverter to guarantee non stop electricity supply during black outs for basic appliances.
- There are two security cameras externally that act as deterrents to potential burglars. One outside master bedroom that appears to monitor the garden / swimming pool area and one near front of house that appears to monitor front passage / front door area. Both are switched off at all times, they are only there to act as deterrents. They used to be functioning when the owner lived there, but not now.
-Do not leave food out ever. It encourages the tiniest of creatures to invade the house. Remember , this is a tropical environment :-)
While we take significant measures to keep these nosey visitors away from your vacation rental , please be aware that they may find their way into house to look for food. Tropical pests include, ants, geckos, palmetto bugs, crickets and even small palm mice

Lovely spacious villa, exactly as described & the pool was great for relaxing & keeping cool.The location of the villa is very quiet and close enough to the beach and restaurants.I would definitely recommend Villa Khaleesi!

We had a stellar time in the villa and enjoyed the amazing pool. The local life is beautiful and the ocean is full of warmth.
Graham is a great host with communication but is not there full time. The property management team is in the DR and was not a good to interact with. The team was not very kind and lacked organization when it came to providing basic needs for the villa like paying for electricity, refilling the water, exiting/entering the villa with keys, and how bad the mosquitos are on the grounds. This made for the trip to be difficult during check in and check out. Sadly they treated us like we were a bother rather than as guests.
Overall a lovely stay but come prepared with bug spray, bathing suit for the pool and ready to rent a buggy/moped or car in order to get to the good restaurants which are a drive away.

We stayed at Villa Khaleesi for six weeks Nov-Dec. Graham, the owner, was a fantastic host, very accommodating and responsive.
The location of the Villa was perfect as we were only a six minute walk to Playa Ballenas, within walking distance (20 minutes) of town, great for groceries, restaurants, and night life, yet removed enough that we could escape the noise and busyness of Las Terrenas and enjoy our privacy.
The Villa is just as pictured, beautiful, spacious, gorgeous pool and gardens. The kitchen was gorgeous! With a massive island, plenty of counter space, and a fantastic gas stove. It was well equipped with pretty much anything we needed including a BBQ. The bedrooms were wonderfully decorated and comfortable, each with their own ensuite bathroom.
The terrace had a lovely, large dinning table, perfect for enjoying meals outside. As well as sofas and lounge chairs for our time around the pool.
We had guests stay with us for part of our time, the layout of the Villa made it comfortable for everyone to have their own space as well as great areas for hanging out together.
There are many restaurants in the area, some of our favourites were Porto by Mosquito, Beluga, Tropik Bowl, and Las Cayennas
To fully enjoy the area and explore places like Playa Bonita, El Limon, Coson, Samana, we felt we needed a vehicle (rented an ATV and car). Both Genaro and Richards rentals were great to deal with.
