Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family has been coming here since before I was born. I grew up coming to this cabin every year and now my three children come. We love it so much! I think it's the best cabin at Glen Eden! We love the appliance and floor upgrades, it feels newer and refreshed. Downsides: 1) the stairs are a total hazard. There is no way they are to code and they scare me especially with young kids. I have tried to give this feedback for... about 10 years haha! But, I guess I survived them and I hope my kids will too. 2) there needs to be a nice thick rug in the living room, it's just hardfloors with no carpet or anything and it feels cold and awkward. 3) They need to have screens on every window, screens that fit. We usually have to ask for screens and some of them do not actually fit, this is a problem because the bugs are nuts. All in all we will continue coming back and know this is not meant to be a modern totally upgraded cabin, and, it would be nice to fix the above issues~! Don't let it hold you back again we LOVE Columbine!

We chose this place, Glen Eden, about three weeks before a long weekend ski trip to Steamboat. We needed pet-friendly, and this was the closest/least expensive option for our group of five two dogs. After a four-hour delay on I-70, we got to Glen Eden at about 1:30 am and had some trouble finding the cabin -- the map supplied does not show roads and it was hard to see the cabin names at night. The cabin, Columbine, was right next to the Elk River (covered by snow) and has a beautiful view to the northwest. The cabin was clean and everything in the kitchen and bathrooms worked well. The wifi was fast and reliable. We all found the beds comfortable and with plenty of blankets and pillows. The cabin was heated by electric baseboards, and they responded well to thermostat adjustments. The hot tub was located near the Glen Eden lodge, a short walk away -- for some reason, I thought it was a hot tub at the cabin. We were able to get in the tub when we wanted, but because it holds no more than eight, there could be a wait.Overall, nice place -- would come here again despite the 35-40 minute drive to the mountain for skiing. Would be nice in the summer.
