About this cabin rental
This rustic lakefront cabin sits right on a stunning Adirondack lake less than 10 miles from the Canadian border. It is in the hamlet of Owls Head 1 hour due north of Lake Placid and 15 minutes from Malone. The cabin has two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. There is also a 2 story boat house with a bedroom on the second floor and a living space with a twin bed. Rental includes kayaks and canoe, peddle boat and fishing boat. Trailering a power boat to the lake is an option as well. For golfers, the Malone Golf Club with two 18 hole golf courses is 15 minutes away and Malone has lots of shopping. This is a fishing, boating, hiking and golf paradise. Stunningly scenic. Remote yet convenient access to stores and services. We were lucky enough to stay in this cabin on Indian Lake and were impressed with all the extras the host provided. Whether it was a kitchen gadget, extra life jacket or cornhole game- we truly didn’t have to pack as much as we did. The host John, was proactive and was incredibly responsive. My daughter wants to return next year!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Indian Lake over the Fourth of July holiday and weekend. There were fireworks going off all around the lake.
The lake is not heavily trafficed by motor boats at all hours, making for a pleasant stay, though there certainly was the occational jet ski making the rounds. Many, many duck families and loons. We enjoyed using the kayaks.
The house has two bed rooms and two bathrooms. With two bedrooms over the boat house and no bathroom over there. There is also a deck on the boat house.
The camp is a well loved family treasure that could use a little TLC. It had everything we needed for our stay. When there was an issue, the owner and housecleaner were super and very responsive.
