The Location
Loddin is still almost an insider’s tip on the island of Usedom.
The village, with a population of 970, consists of the districts of Kölpinsee, Stubbenfelde, and Loddin. If you’re looking for peace and relaxation on Usedom, the former fishing village of Loddin on the Achterwasser, with its wonderful hiking trails, is the perfect place for you.
The old thatched-roof fishermen’s cottages can still be found here, and the Loddiner Höft hill, rising nearly 16 meters above sea level, offers a breathtaking view of the sea. The renowned seafood restaurant Waterblick and Kiki’s Boat Rental, with its rustic cuisine, offer culinary delights right in the neighborhood.
Loddin is easily accessible by car via the B111; those traveling by train can take the Bäderbahn to the Kölpinsee stop and walk 10 minutes from there to the center of Loddin.
The Loddin districts of Stubbenfelde and Kölpinsee are located on the beach and offer many attractions.
The attractive seaside resorts of Ückeritz and Zinnowitz, as well as the Damerow Forest House, are just a few minutes’ drive away, offering a variety of restaurants, shops, and cafés to choose from. Charming bike paths through the forest or along the coast also provide easy access to the beach towns.
The KORMORAN Apartment
The KORMORAN apartment is located on the top floor (1st floor) of “Haus Ostsee,” a building constructed ten years ago on Strandstraße in the fishing village of Loddin on the Achterwasser.
It’s just a few minutes’ walk to the boat rental, the quaint Waterblick seafood restaurant, and the harbor. Various wonderful hiking trails lead along the Achterwasser, around the Loddiner Höft, or across the fields to the nearest larger seaside resorts of Koserow or Ückeritz. Kölpinsee Beach is two kilometers away, where you’ll find shopping and plenty of recreational activities.
The apartment includes a parking space at the back of the building as well as a lockable bike shed with an electrical outlet.
