Die Lage ist kaum zu toppen: Gleich gegenüber des Hauseingangs befindet sich ein sehr empfehlenswertes Eiscafé, nebenan eine Bäckerei und mit wenigen Schritten ist man auf der 'Hauptstraße' der Fußgängerzone, dem Corso Vittorio Emanuele. Dort findet man eine große Vielfalt an Läden und Gaststätten aller Art - und trifft natürlich auch auf quirliges Leben. Folgt man dem 'corso' in der einen Richtung, gelangt man in weniger als 10 Minuten zum Bahnhof, von dem man per Zug bequem nach Neapel, Pompei oder anderen Zielen gelangt. In der anderen Richtung geht der 'corso' über in die 'Via Mercanti', eine der Hauptadern der zum Bummeln einladenden Altstadt. Auf so ziemlich jeder den 'corso' kreuzenden Straßen gelangt man mit wenigen Schritten zur Promenade von Salerno, die ebenfalls zu Spaziergängen einlädt. Dementsprechend ist es auch nicht weit zum Anleger der zahlreichen Ausflugsschiffe, mit denen man insbesondere die an der Amalfi-Küste gelegenen Ziele ansteuern kann. Die Wohnung ist zwar nicht luxuriös, bietet aber alles, was man wirklich braucht. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt!
