Location is by the river, down town, close to everything and the 22nd floor takes you directly to the famous Kuixinglou Square. Location fantastic! Housekeeping kept giving us various amounts of towels for 4 ppl - sometimes 2, sometimes 3 never 4. But they gave us 4 bottles of water every day. And they didnt clean well - my dirty tea cups were left behind sometimes, teapot not replaced etc.

The location of the hotel is very convenient. It’s close to Hongya Cave from the front entrance and the lift also leads to the 22nd floor, with easy direct access to Kuixinglou (the famous plaza that’s 22nd floor on one end and ground level on the other end). The elevators can be a little tricky though because multiple establishments share the same elevator access so some elevators don’t go to certain floors and because of that the elevator wait can be a bit long sometimes. But it wasn’t a big deal for us. The hotel staff are also very helpful and accommodating. They made sure to help us with an extra request that was no longer part of their duties. Plus points for their excellent staff!

However, our overall experience did not fully meet our expectations. The front desk staff were friendly, but their English communication was limited, which made it difficult to receive the level of assistance we had hoped for. The service was not as attentive or consistent as expected. We also found the room rates to be quite expensive compared to the quality and size of the rooms. In addition, the pricing was inconsistent. We booked our rooms well in advance but ended up paying a higher rate than guests who booked later. The room rates did not seem to be standardized, which was disappointing. Overall, while the location is a major advantage, we do not feel that the hotel offers good value for money compared with other hotels in the same area.
