Villa Maria Paula Old Town Hvar

It was clean and conveniently located. The host was very helpful

Bed was a little uncomfortable and the space was a bit tight

The villa is compact, but you really can’t beat the location. It’s just 5 minutes from the port and centrally located, with everything you need—including the main square—within a 3-minute walk. Antonia was incredibly responsive and helpful, and gave us some great recommendations. Maria is around the villa during the day, and it was lovely to meet her as well. There’s also a lovely terrace where you can dry your clothes or simply sit back and enjoy the views over the terracotta rooftops. If you’re just using it as a base to sleep, rest and shower we definitely recommend staying here!

The only downside is that the room is quite tight, but for us, it was well worth the trade-off for such a fantastic location. Be aware that there are stairs, although that’s fairly unavoidable wherever you stay in Hvar.

A localização é excelente, com rápido acesso à região dos bares e restaurante, mas numa rua mais tranquila e silenciosa à noite. No prédio existe um quarto superior com terraço exclusivo mas os hospedes dos outros quartos podem acessa uma outra área externa (varanda) com uma ótima vista da região. A recepção foi excelente, com as informações de acesso enviadas previamente por WhatsApp e vária dicas e sugestões de restaurante e passeios passadas pela Antonia no momento da check in.

Tivemos problema de falta de água quente na noite do primeiro dia, mas foi rapidamente resolvido após comunicar à anfitriã. O controle remoto do ar condicionado não fica disponível no quarto, tendo apenas a opção de ligar/desligar na tomada, sem conseguir ajustar a temperatura.

Location is key and the host Antionette is exceptional and what made the stay enjoyable. She sits with guests and provides valuable information, maps and follow up information with great recommendations

The property is basic, smaller than what the pictures show. A larger person would struggle in the bathroom as there was no room from toilet to shower. Little things could improve the stay like larger towels as they felt old and the fridge hardly worked and I would not put any food in there requiring cold temperature
