The Spot with Green Chair - cozy space near Danube

This is the second time we stayed at this apartment during our visits to Budapest (3 adults). The apartment has many advantages: - the parking is very convenient and is situated on the adjacent street, very close to the apartment (a few minutes tops) - the communication with the owner is great, the instructions for check-in are very well presented (the document even contained pictures) - the rooms are nicely decorated (keeping the green thematic), spacious (they have high ceilings) and clean - the apartment contains all the necessary utilities (good AC; decent TV - with apple TV included; big and comfortable bed, wardrobe with hangers) - the location is good, close to the Metro station, the National Museum and the Danube Overall, it is a good apartment which I would recommend. We'll definitely stay there again in the future.

There were just a few things that were not ideal during our stay. They are as follows: - the apartment is located at the last, upper floor (it was the 3rd floor, if I'm not mistaken).. During the summer, climbing the stairs multiple times per day might tire you a little - or if there's a lot of luggage to be moved - during our second stay, the neighbors were renovating, so there was noise during the day - the traffic can be heard though the windows (the apartment is situated on a highly circulated road/boulevard) - which might impact those who are light sleepers

Die Wohnung sieht toll aus: geschmackvoll eingerichtet, schönes Altbauflair, hohe Decken, stilvolles Gebäude. Die Lage ist zentral – ideal, um die Stadt zu erkunden.

Die Wohnung mag auf den ersten Blick charmant wirken, aber im Alltag überwiegen die Probleme. Wir kennen einige Unterkünfte in Budapest als ungarisch/ deutsche Familie und das war jetzt leider nicht so toll . Das übelste zu allererst . Die Wohnung liegt direkt an einer stark befahrenen Hauptstraße – Straßenbahnen, Autos und Krankenwagen erzeugen Tag und Nacht massiven Lärm. Selbst mit Ohropax und heruntergelassenen Jalousien vibriert das Zimmer, an erholsamen Schlaf ist kaum zu denken. Und das sagen wir als Berliner City-Bewohner – wir sind wirklich einiges gewohnt. Das Schlafzimmer verfügt zwar über einen schönen alten Ofen, doch der ist offenbar schon länger kaputt – geheizt werden kann dort nicht. Der kleine Gasofen im Esszimmer schafft es nicht, die hohen Altbauräume zu erwärmen. Bereits bei 10°C Außentemperatur in der Nacht war es in der Wohnung eiskalt. Das Badezimmer ist unpraktisch eingerichtet: keine Dusche, sondern eine tiefe, kleine Badewanne, in die man richtig hineinklettern muss. Ab einer Körpergröße von 1,80 m wird es unangenehm – und beim Duschen setzt man das Bad schnell komplett unter Wasser. Zusätzlich: Kaffeemaschine kaputt, Tiefgarage extrem eng (nur für Kleinwagen und geübte Fahrer*innen), und es gibt keine Haltemöglichkeit vor dem Haus – Koffer müssen bei Wind und Wetter hunderte Meter getragen werden. Fazit: Schöne Altbau-Optik, aber viel Frust im Alltag. Für diesen Preis bietet Budapest deutlich bessere, ruhigere und funktionalere Unterkünfte.
