Cozy Basement Apartment at the edge of Old Town

Unfair to complain. It was as we had expected.

The flat was the perfect base to explore Margate and perfectly situated to get everywhere we wanted to go on foot. It was clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Great communication from the host who was extremely helpful. We’d definitely book again!

The host was attentive and checked in with us during our stay. The apartment is close to a large Aldi (a budget supermarket) and has a kitchen with oil, pans, knives, fridge -- making homemade dinner an option. There are lots of free street parking nearby, and it's a 5-10 minute walk to Margate beach through some indie shops. We used the apartment as a base to go to other nearby beaches. We also appreciated the new state of decoration, new kitchen and cleanliness. They also have Netflix and a new, wall-mounted TV.

Nitpicking here as it was a lovely apartment. My wife found both beds a little uncomfortable, I didn't mind. We could hear people in the flat above us talking normally, so some soundproofing would help (we had ear plugs). The ventilation needs reviewing as our dry clothes became damp after a day -- we did cook on one night. I wonder if it would benefit from a stove extractor. There was a device in the bedroom but we weren't sure what this was -- perhaps it was a dehumidifier? The bathroom/shower was a wet room and newly tiled. The steps to the wet room were a little slippy though, so take care. These are really minor things -- don't let this put you off staying.

Lovely cosy flat, near the pubs restaurants and beach, host's were lovely, in one word perfect!

Didn't really knew how to work out the hot water, as I wasn't told we had to switch it on , was able to work it out in the end though. Also first was told the check out was at 11am, and on the day we were leaving was told it was at 10am, even with these issues would gladly stay there again.
