King's Landing Dubrovnik Apartment

Excelente lugar. Amplio, super limpio y muy cómodo. Con una terraza común con vistas a la bahía. A 50 mts está la parada del bus que te lleva al centro en 15 min. Volveria sin dudas

Everything! Maria and her daughter, Ivana were genuine and so sweet. Responsive to all my needs. Great location on the bus line. Stairs down to the beach but well worth it for the view from the shared terrace.

Unfortunately, our stay was far from what we expected, especially considering the price. The ventilation is extremely poor. Whenever we turn on the extractor hood, it is so loud that having a conversation becomes nearly impossible. At the same time, it barely seems to work, so whenever we cook, all of our clothes end up smelling like food. The bed deserves a special mention. It is old and incredibly squeaky — you cannot even turn over without producing enough noise to wake yourself up. Apparently, getting a good night's sleep comes with a complimentary sound effects package. The air conditioner is extremely loud, making it difficult to sleep with it on. Naturally, we would prefer to leave it running while we are out so that we can return to a cool apartment after spending time in the city. Unfortunately, the host enters the apartment without warning and turns it off while we are away. Having someone enter the apartment without prior notice is certainly not something we expected and made us feel that we had very little privacy. The Wi-Fi is very poor, and the mobile signal is also weak, which made staying connected unnecessarily difficult. The kitchen equipment is another issue. The sandwich maker has a broken handle, so you literally have to hold it down with your hand in order to make a sandwich. The stovetop is extremely old and worn out, with the markings almost completely gone, making it difficult to understand how to operate it. The building itself is located quite high on a hill. During hot weather, walking up and down is exhausting, so we ended up spending considerably more money on taxis than we had planned. There is also very little privacy. The terrace is shared, and apparently there are limitations on how late you can sit there, which makes the whole experience feel less like a private apartment and more like staying in a retirement camp with a supervisor occasionally checking in on the residents.
