Perfect stop in a charming German town

We arrived by train and it was a short 8 min walk with luggage. Feasible with my 9yo child. Located next to the beautiful xmas markets which had the largest advent calendar made it super convenient to get back to rest after enjoying the markets in the cold. The breakfast was delightful with a good selection, we thoroughly enjoyed filling ourselves up. Room was modern and comfortable, yet charming, we loved listening to the clock bells chimed. The kind receptionist helped us in his limited german using chatgpt on the buses to get to the castle and Offenburg. Thanks for the lovely stay.

A lovely guesthouse in to explore Gengengbach and surrounds (including Baden Baden & Strasbourg)

The Gasthof is in a good location to explore the old town and good access to the railway.We had a lovely room with lots of space on the first floor. Wifi was fine, as was cleanliness. The shower was pretty good but did have the temperature vary slightly. The breakfast is sufficient with enough choices. The bed is comfortable and there are plenty of power outlets. We had little interaction with the owners but neither was it necessary as they had provided clear instructions on how to get into our room after regular checkin times.

We enjoyed our stay. Nothing to do with the accommodation but if using the trains you need to be fully aware of the train timetable as long gaps between trains if you don't plan.

Super cute town and location

Although they said they would be open, they weren’t and they kind of had to figure out a hidden key situation. Our daughter had a separate room and she didn’t have a fan despite very high temperatures.

Breakfast was the best on our trip. Location is close to the center of town, train station, and other activities. Would highly recommend this hotel. We used it as our Basecamp for all of our adventures in the black forest area.

Gengenbach is a gem. Gasthof Hirsch is close to the old downtown area, very walkable.

It was an excellent stay and well priced, with a lovely owner. I would recommend this place.

The property was well maintained, and the owner was very accommodating - I cannot fault much of this property. We received more than expected!

The restaurant was closed for the entire duration of our stay, which was disappointing. As a recommendation, adding Netflix to the TV might help for a relaxing night in between longer days exploring.

Ich würde diese Unterkunft jederzeit wieder buchen und auch weiter empfehlen.

Für meine Zwecke war die Lage super, das Frühstück war hervorragend, der Frühstücksraum hell und freundlich, die Ansprechpartner immer parat und sehr aufgeschlossen. Der sehr nett eingerichtete und gemütliche Gasthof ist leider geschlossen, ein Schlummertrunk kann daher nur außerhalb genommen werden, das ist sehr schade.

Die Gaststube ist geschlossen, ein Getränk kann man nicht kaufen, d.h. außer Frühstück gibt es nichts. Z.B. ein Wasser für die Nacht o.ä., gibt es nicht. Für ältere Menschen nicht geeignet da nur eine relativ steile Treppe zu den, allerdings sehr gemütlichen, Zimmern führt.

unkomplizierter Check in, sehr nettes Personal, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Frühstück war sehr gut, alles was das Herz begehrt, die Unterkunft sehr sauber und gemütlich. Stadtzentrum gleich nebenan, dort bekommt man alles was man braucht. Unbedingt weiter zu empfehlen.

Très bel appartement pour 1 où plusieurs nuits

La localisation est un point fort. La taille du logement et des équipements. Le petit déjeuner était très bien. On peut rester aussi plusieurs jours dans l appartement qui est très récent.

Pas d accueil niveau réception, utilisation d’un clefier. Aussi petit problème au niveau de l’eau chaude pas beaucoup pour se doucher

Gerne wieder.

Das Hotel lag ideal, und das Auto konnte in der Nähe ohne Probleme abgestellt werden. Das Zimmer war geräumig, ordentlich und behaglich eingerichtet. Das schmackhafte Frühstücksbuffet war ebenfalls überzeugend. Ein professioneller und freundlicher Empfang vervollständigte das Bild.

Tolles Hotel in toller Lage

Das Hotel liegt zentral in Gengenbach und von dort ist man sehr schnell in der Stadtmitte. Das Zimmer ist sauber und hat einen ganz eigenen Charme mit der Ausstattung und den alten Wänden. Das Badezimmer war sauber und macht einen recht neuen Eindruck. Das Frühstück ist ausreichend von der Auswahl und war sehr gut. Ich kann es nur empfehlen.
