Parking is a premium in Wells next the Sea. It was sometimes difficult to get a parking space on the main road, even in low season. But you can’t have everything !

The property was well presented. It felt homely and comfortable. Clean… on the whole. Lovely and easy to use log burner. The television was great - huge, clear with all the apps we needed. Great location, so close to the town centre and no issues with parking, although we did go out of season.

The starter pack was very poor - as a black coffee drinker there was one small sachet of kenco for one mug of coffee. I had left some of my coffee for work in the car, so used that, but it wouldn’t take much effort at all to provide a bag of coffee. I’ve had better starter packs at a low cost hotel. The property felt cold and drafty, but we went at a cold time of year. We normally wouldn’t use the log burner but we used this every night. Down stairs was still extremely cold. I needed to wash some of the bowls and gave the whole cutlery drawer a good clean out as it was just a little grubby. Not a great amount of room to store food supplies. Small packets of condiments in the cupboard including used packets.

It was modern and close to the town centre.

That the living area was upstairs, it was dangerous carrying food and drinks into the garden and difficult for the dog to get up and down. This may have been mentioned in the description and missed by us but it certainly needs to be included if it currently isn’t. There were no curtains in the bedrooms, only blinds and therefore light in the early mornings. There was no cupboard space for food. No instructions available for the heating, we had some cold evenings there! We had to pay for parking some evenings.
