Great location. Both pubs/restaurants in the Buttlands were great. Lots of room for a group of 7 adults

Only one front door key which wasn’t always desirable if the group were doing different activities. Both front door and back door had a deadlock latch which almost locked us out in the garden. 2 of the beds were loose and required the bolts to be tightened, despite a previous guest complaining. Bed collapsed at one point as only one screw in situ and 5 others on the floor. Overall comfortable but now looks a bit tired and requires some refresh, particularly the shower room. The fridge freezer did not cool food properly despite being on max. Suggest replacing

The cottage is lovely, it suited our needs perfectly. lt is in a fabulous position in Wells and we would all happily return

Parking can be difficult although we were able to use a small space in front of the owners garage. The area at the front of the property is not marked up as an official space and can be used by anybody on a first come first served basis. This wasn't clear from description but no real issue for us once we realised that one of the cars would fit and we were able to use the car in front of the garage for the duration of the holiday The lounge and dining room are carpeted and as dogs are permitted I would prefer hard floors throughout really (couple of marks on carpet when we arrived and my dog could obviously smell previous canine guests).... Bed in 2nd bedroom I found very comfortable Bed 1 is huge and nicely decorated unfortunately the guests occupying this room didn't find the bed too comfortable The owners lived nearby and although we had minimal contact they seemed very nice. Overall Casa Maria is a lovely house, in the perfect position. We absolutely enjoyed our first stay in Wells and we would definitely return.
