We are a retired couple in our 60s and we always spend September in the mountains. We have stayed at many places and the view from the deck of this home is the most breathtaking view we have ever experienced. The photos on the website don’t come close.
The outdoor space feels like living in a tree house. We enjoyed the fireplace which included firewood and two fire starter logs (thank you Lori) on a couple of chilly evenings. The bedrooms were spacious. We ended up sleeping in the king bed downstairs as it was a nice firm mattress and our older backs were happy. The king mattress on the main floor is softer. The kitchen was very well stocked. So the few times we stayed in to cook, we had the tools and pots, pans we needed.
Communication with the owner was great! And she had decorated the home for fall which made it very festive! I would recommend this home for your Lake Chatuge stay.

We enjoyed our stay so much and really enjoyed spending time on the porch, watching the sunset and using both fireplaces. We did a lot of cooking, playing games and enjoying the beautiful view!! Highly recommend this home!!!

We really enjoyed relaxing at this mountain retreat. Watching July 4 fireworks over the lake was a special surprise.

What makes this home special is the outdoor kitchen/sitting area with the beautiful view of the Lake. We were absolutely amazed at the view.
This was our first trip to Hiawassee and we really like the area. It's a quick drive to Helen and Clayton. We attended a wedding at the Brasstown Valley Resort which is nearby. The Lake has a public beach which my daughter enjoyed. You can rent boats/jet skis.
I highly recommend this home.
