My family and friends have so many great things to say about our time here visiting Tallulah Falls. This home is such a unique find to be on private land to explore, private river access to fish, swim, float, explore, sit and take in the experience. The set up of the house worked well for my family of 4, our friends family of 4, and my parents with room to spare. The hosts make sure to stock it well with all the kitchen tools we needed to cook, they really think of everything! Including essentials like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bubble bath, laundry detergents, etc.. There is seating in surplus indoors and outdoors. I was so impressed with how intentional they were with porch seats, tables, even two swings for the river views, fire pit with lots of chairs, and hammock. It was well thought out to encourage good conversations, reflection, and memories. Mission accomplished. We really didn’t need to leave if we didn’t want to. Our kids, ages ranging 8-11, enjoyed playing with the provided floats in the river. We did go explore the local State park, Hemlock Falls trail to a waterfall, and Wildcat Creek to experience the sliding rock, so fun if you have kids that can swim. The girls of the house did a horse riding day with Dillard horse riding, we love horses and had an amazing river ride.
The river can’t be seen from the home, it gave us some good exercise to go up and down the hill to and from. If you struggle with balance it might be an issue. My active parents in their late 60’s had some challenge getting to and from the river, but took their time and did great. This area has so many great places to see, we could have done even more and might need to come back.
Only con of the trip, AC in upper floor went out the last 2 days of the trip, only recommendation to the owner, might need a back up plan with some portable ACs in future. We didn’t let it ruin the trip but it was definitely uncomfortable with interior temp of 80’s. The house has really nice windows that crank open with screens. Contacts respond promptly, but no one could come out during our trip from the AC company.

We enjoyed our stay at the Tallulah Falls cabin! Great house and property on the river with lots of room for our group. Close to Tallulah Gorge, Scaly Mountain and historic Clayton.

Enjoyed our stay. Super nice. Plenty of room to spread out. Lots of attention to details. Only issues- slow drainage of bathtubs and kitchen sink, but was quickly addressed by staff. Drive way is a bit hard to maneuver especially with wet leaves, hard to get traction without AWD.
All in all, convenient to local attractions. Would recommend!
