'The Phoenix' Cabin w/ Hot Tub in Gatlinburg!

We love The Phoenix! It is spacious and sleeps a pretty large number of guests(I'd guess probably 10-13ish,) yet they've created a cozy feel and atmosphere. I remember the first time we stayed. When we pulled in the drive, I was concerned it wouldn't sleep as many as we thought. Looks are deceiving though from the outside. Once you are inside, you find that it's spread out between two floors and a loft. There's room for everyone and then some! We are repeat offenders. lol We have rented this cabin a number of times during various times of the year and varying weather conditions. We've always been comfortable. We often cook/eat in the cabin while we are there too. In comparison to other cabins and even condos at the beach, this place is well stocked with a variety of cooking utensils and appliances. We've been to many places before that basically just had silverware, plates, and bowls and that was primarily it. Here, we've used the crock pot, baking sheets, mixer, toaster etc. The coffee machine was so popular that we ended up purchasing one identical to it for our own home. The young adults love the ability to quickly make a customized size of individual coffee, and the adults often like to make a pot of coffee. If I had to say something, I'd say the young adults were once disappointed that there wasn't a "pizza pan" per se when they wanted to make a round frozen pizza. Ahh, first world problems. That was easily solved by just using one of the rectangular baking pans. Tada! It also taught them how to be resourceful. It sure isn't anything negative about this beautiful, amazing cabin! The hot tub is another thing popular amongst everyone. It's very private and large enough to fit several people comfortably. A HUGE perk is the location! You absolutely cannot beat it. It's perfectly nestled between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. We tend to go during holidays when traffic is heavier in the area. Staying at this cabin cuts the traffic in half regardless of whether our plans for the day take us to Pigeon Forge/Sevierville or Gatlinburg. The location is just a dream! Since we have found The Phoenix we have sought it out each time to rent. It had become our preferred place to stay when we are in the area. I hope we get to continue making memories there in the future. PS This cabin is absolutely magical during the Christmas holidays. They have it decorated so beautifully. It's incredible! ~Blessings!

We loved this cabin. Cozy and clean. Road to get to the cabin is very winding and steep, but you are in the mountains. Parking is for two cars max. Plenty of room for the 5 of us. You can also park at the bottom of the hill at the welcome center and ride the trolly to downtown Gatlinburg.

Our stay was disappointing and very uncomfortable due to the filthy cabin. THE LINENS HAD NOT BEEN CHANGED as evidenced by black hairs in 2 out of 4 beds! THE FIREPLACE DID NOT WORK because it was out of propane! THE HOT TUB WAS TEPID until Monday night (2 days after our arrival)! THE MOVIE ROOM FLOOR WAS FULL OF CRUMBS, COINS AND CANDY! THERE WERE SOCKS UNDER ONE BED! THERE WAS A DIRTY TISSUE, A WATER BOTTLE, CRUMBS AND COINS UNDER ANOTHER BED! THE MICROWAVE IS FILTHY AND HAS NO ROTATION PLATE IN IT! THE LIVING ROOM COUCH IS FULL OF STAINS AND JUST DIRTY! THE UPSTAIRS CARPET IS CRUSTY! THE MOVIE ROOM FUTONS ARE DIRTY! THERE IS A GREASY, GROSS SMELL UPON ENTERING THE CABIN! The cabin is nice and we definitely enjoyed foosball and Pac Man, and the Christmas decorations were lovely, but the games and decorations were not enough to make up for the disgust that we felt during our 3-night stay. We could not lay my 3-month old granddaughter on anything without a blanket, and we, ourselves made sure to spray everything with Lysol and wipe everything down with disinfectant wipes before touching anything! We paid over $1600 to stay in the Phoenix and had to clean and change sheets before going to bed the first night. We did call the Moonshine Cleaning Company and the representative was very sweet and offered to come clean, but we had already cleaned. I wanted to speak to the owners but was assured by a representative from Evolve that they would be informed of the condition of their cabin and the disappointment in our stay. Hopefully our complaint (and we would NOT have complained if the cabin were cleaned at all) will not fall on deaf ears, and hopefully we will receive restitution for our unpleasant experience.

It was great. We loved it. Had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. Ideal location for g-burg and pigeon forge.

This place was a great stay. The location is fabulous for going to Gatlinburg or to Pigeon Forge! We had a good time and will be back again.

One of the WORST places I have ever rented. Upon arrival I checked the hot tub it was half empty and filthy. Refrigerator had old meat blood stuck under the glass shelf Flooring coming apart in places. Curtain rods were bent and falling off the wall. Curtains do not cover the windows or doors. Floors needed swept. Bed Pillows needed replaced. Not big enough for the beds There were only 8 forks in a cabin that sleeps 11. I contacted the guest contact that was in the email. A maintenance man came out to fill the hot tub. He came unprepared with no water hose. He rigged his shop vac hose which caused water to run down the back side of the cabin and ran into the theater room on the bottom floor. One of the our kids found it before our clothes got wet. Maintenance man returned about and hour later to check the hot tub and again no hose but he did have his shop vac to suck up the leak. Several emails and phone calls to the contact people with no help. We ended up filling the hot tub but didn’t matter it doesn’t work. The email I received from the contact was the hot tub takes 3-4 hours to heat up and there are plenty of silverware in the kitchen. Only email I received. Pictures and description very deceiving. No nice swing in the loft no nice arcade game. Just a small pac man table game with stools falling apart. Foosball table handles were broken off I’m am in contact with Evolve to get some resolution to this rental issue. Cabin was Extremely filthy. Little to no communication with guest contact. At no point did they call to check on issues. So very very disappointed.
