The Crystal Peak Lodge boasts an excellent location, with ski-in, ski-out convenience right next to the Independence Super Chair. However, this unit needs a little attention. First of all, while it has a sleeper sofa that allows it to claim capacity of 6, there is a 200-pound coffee table that needs to be moved to use it.
The Bunn coffee maker (an expensive model, I’m sure) doesn’t work very well. I spent an hour plus every morning trying to make a decent pot of coffee.
More importantly, the unit was not very clean. Crumbs, coffee, etc. on the kitchen floor upon check in. Just needs a little more detail.
Probably the most critical thing is, after four levels of administration (VRBO, Evolve, PMI Breck, Lodge Front Desk), there’s really no one to do anything for you. PMI Breck was very helpful, but they didn’t know things about the lodge that they should have, etc.
In short, this is not worth the top dollar you are paying in spite of the excellent location. Buyer beware.

Great location, amazing amenities, wonderful unit! We were first timers to Breck, and first time using evolve or any by owner. Great communication throughout the reservation process, although our room was not ready when we arrived (check in was at 4) we arrived early, CPL held our luggage as we hopped on the gondola to town for lunch, and grocery store. The shuttle that the lodges provide to town is a huge ++! we just called either from our condo or from town for a pick up and within minutes they arrived.Ski shop inside building was a huge asset for renting and returns, as well as lockers to store your stuff overnight. Thank you for a great spring break!
